where do you get your information on the candidates? do you just research them because I don't think they go very public aside from their cookie cutter signs and posters. I want to vote because I can and should but like you said, I'm not really informed.

PS, I would be voting for a different school district so you can't really help me with my canidates :P

Yeah I don't like "helping people" with voting anyway. This is actually the only election I've ever voiced an opinion on who I was voting for (I usually like to keep it private). I don't know for sure that your ward is even having elections (because only the odd-numbered wards are ( ... )

You know, I don't know MUCH about the candidates, but I'm still wanting to vote. I find it funny that in that little paragraph, Gage says he's against eminent domain- a few years ago he tried to force my Jacobsmeyer cousin and his family out of their home near the Plaza. Based on that alone I was planning on voting for Bailey, but I don't know if that's enough information to go on. Probably not. I hate not voting in basically the only election where my vote really, truly counts.

Yeah, to be honest I don't know too much about Art Gage. I know that in the recent developments, Art Gage has fought to keep certain residences from Eminent Domain (see: bird farm) and he has been accessible (I hear he actually returns phone calls! Which first hand I can say that Betro doesn't). I have had some meetings with Save Riverside, and while there are people of differing opinions, when it comes to supporting eminent domain abuse, most agreed that Gage would be less likely than Bailey to support it. They also admitted however that Gage's record concerning eminent domain, especially during his first two years was less than stellar. Maybe he cleaned up, maybe he is just trying to get votes ( ... )
