You know I read somewhere that punishing is a step in the wrong direction; it can actually discourage a child further. Don't get me wrong, I would get so upset with Madison that she would have to take a time out for MY sake. Most of my strategies came out of books and they say things like "consistency is the key" and blah, blah, blah. But really in the end Reuben will decide when he's ready and all you can do is keep pushing him in that direction. It's all up to him.
