Rant by Palahknuik. I know I know. I always recommend, but you have to understand that the last few Chuck books I read I wasn't excited about. He was getting into a "formula" to me: gross sex stuff / commentary on society / more gross stuff / repeat. A cool formula, but I was sick of it.

Then mom bought Rant for me. It is bar none to me, his best book. From start to finish, you will be amazed, and you do not know what's going on until the VERY END. Literally. You have to read the foot notes. So good.

Heart Shaped Box--Stephan King's boy does a modern ghost story. Worth a library or Half-Priced Books buy. Fun.

Diamond Age--messed up cyberpunk stuff. Go for it.

I've been trying to get in touch with you for some time now, but you're a hard person to get ahold of. I'd love to hang out some night if you're available, though my schedule is tight cuz of work, my daughter, and of course marriage. E-mail me back sometime at rhesusattackWgmail.com. It'd be cool to see you again.
