I broke my toe!

I am pretty sure I broke my toe last night. I ran into the doorframe. *sigh* I am such a klutz. I heard a smack as my toe hit immediately followed by a snap sound, followed up with a good dose of excruciating pain. Now my foot is sore and bruised between my pinky piggie and the one next door. Are you still on the cave club listserv? I got this through them last night, too. The accident happened in late September/early October of last year. I lived at the Bat Ranch for a short time in 1999, and I had met Dick a few times. I didn't really know him though. I do know Mike and Andrea Futrell, Steve Wells, and Sue Setzler, who were all on the trip.

I don't think that if I had been on this trip, I would be caving anymore, though. In fact, the story itself spooked me pretty bad. When the accident first happened, the Futrell's had sent basically and accident report to the listserv describing what happened and it was pretty harrowing. The "No, no!" followed by Boom, BOOM!...

*shudder*

It made my hair stand on end as I read it.
