Now Some Character Info...
Character Name: Corvus/The Crow
Race: Psychopomp

Angels Only:
Status: Enslaved
Owner: N/A

History: Corvus is a psychopomp. They are creatures that serve Death, gentle beings made for the purpose of guiding lost and troubled souls to their final resting place. Shortly after enslaving angels became a popular, a man in Medieval Germany was watching in horror as his four sons were wasting away and dying one after the other from an unknown disease. Desperate to save his last son, he turned to black magic and made a deal with a demon for a way to stop Death. When Corvus, still a young and brash being by his own kind’s standard, came for the boy’s soul, the man ensnared the psychopomp with a blood ritual.

He forced the young reaper to not only save his son’s life, but return his other three boys back to the land of the living. Realizing the benefits of having an immortal being around, he kept Corvus as a servant. Ignorant of most of his powers and perhaps instinctively knowing he had gone too far in controlling death, he commanded the former crow to merely keep his family alive. This took a terrible toll on Corvus. In order to keep prolong their lifespans, he was forced to take the lives of other beings before their time. The balance of Life and Death was destroyed. As time wore on, each member of the family learned the horrible truths that came with living forever. One by one, they died, either by their own hands or through commanding Corvus to lift their curse. The last one alive was his original master. Corvus assumed he would be free when he passed on. Much to his dismay and anger, his master instead hid the cross that bound him as a slave somewhere in the house, with orders that he was never to tell anyone who or what he was. His master did this out of fear, wisely predicting a reaper of souls who had been enslaved for hundreds of years would be a very bitter creature and could very well kill off most of humanity if provoked. Furious, Corvus broke a major rule of his kind as he strangled his master to death. This is his darkest secret and one he has told to no one. He then bound his master’s soul, making sure he would never move on as long as the Crow was still a slave.

He now lives in his masters’ former house alone. In his spare time, he searches for the cross, since his master specifically never forbade him to do so. He was alone and reclusive for a very long time after his master died, purposeless and bitter. Meeting the enslaved angelus Mikhel one day, his heart was moved as it had not been in centuries. He has a special spot for the angelus touched with madness, watching as he has been handed from owner to owner. He began going out more and met several others also wrapped up with the angelus trade, including House, Guriel, and Ithuriel. Wary of humans, he still is seeking the help of Ben Lockwood to help end his enslavement. Despite his own limited powers, he still watches over others and seeks to help them before himself, still having his spirit mostly not broken after the many years of slavery.

He wears a silver collar, marked with inscriptions. This gets disguised as a simple silver chain to anyone who doesn’t know what they are looking at. When he disobeys any of his late master’s standing orders, a light shines from it as it fills him with the agony of every dying soul he has ever reaped. His master wore a necklace, a cross marked with the same symbols and a tiny vial filled with blood inside embedded in the middle of the cross. If the collar is a lock, then the cross is the key. His powers are severely limited, bound by his collar to his human form. He can’t shapeshift, raise the dead, or any of his other handy abilities. He can speak telepathically and move through the shadows, but both are a severe strain on his muted powers.

Threadhopping with this character?: Go right ahead.
Backtagging with this character?: Welcomed and encouraged.

***

Hugging this character?: He'll stiffen up and be uncomfortable, but he won't shy away.
Giving this character a kiss?: It depends where. Cheek or forehead are good, lips might cause him to tense up some. Something more intimate?: It's best not to push things too far with someone who can reap your soul if freaked out. Relationships?: Probably not. He's pretty much asexual.

***

Punching this character: Go right ahead, but be prepared for some retribution.
Injury?: Sure, but talk over the level of severity with me first.
Death?: Actually, this is one of the few characters you can kill. He can die for short amounts of time, but he'll come back to life after a few weeks. So if you're in the mood for a death plot, ask me.

***

Freeing/Capturing this character: Talk it over with me first.
Is there anything you do not want mentioned near this character?: For the most part, he's very level-headed with a lot of patience. There's few things that can make him angry. That being said, the things that can are mentioning the abuse of angelus near him. It's a sore spot for someone who was captured as long as he was.
Is there anything you need us to know about interacting with this character?: He instinctively knows if a character is a demon, angelus, human, or something in between due to sensing their soul. He may not mention it, but he'll just know.
Anything else, please mention here: Regarding death plots, that goes both ways. If you want to kill your character off and then bring it back later on for any reason, or just make them have a near death experience, come plot with me.
