History: So I heard you wanted to know about Homestuck, well then, let me tell you about Homestuck. At first it starts off simple, pretty basic normal everyday life other than the strange fact kids get named on their thirteen birthday instead of their birth and they have these sylladex that let them carry billions of crap in some magical inventory and wow what the actual fuck is this shit??? Except NOPE Homestuck has bunch of timelines and bullshit and just what the fuck is going on anymore jesus fuck. It's like mindfucking Doctor Who times a billion.
Okay no really it's super confusing but I'm gonna give it a go and explain to you this kid here's history. Which is weird from even before Dave was even born. Why is that? Well first off he and his three friends (along with their caretaker) were created through the science of Ectobiology. Paradox clones to be precise, made out of green goo and congratulations you got babies on your hand dear John Egbert. Oh yes that's right, John was actually the one in charge of this creation and the person to make it happen. So it's through him his friends (including himself!) was "born" in the lab. Not long after they were created were they sent off. Each in their own asteroid or meteor of their own with something to join them along side. Dave here was sent off on a pony, yes that's right a pony. In Texas the asteroid crashed and what a relief it is Dave came up unharmed! However the pony he was riding on was not so fortunate and was killed in the crash. He wasn't alone for long for coincidence was that Bro Strider came across him and adopted him under his care as a little brother. What makes it coincidence is for the fact that through the acts of Ectobiology Bro Strider was actually his own father. (He too had been created in the lab during that time.)
So for the next thirteen years did Bro take care and watch over Dave, putting him through training of strifling on roofs and doing sickbeats rap battles and ninja flashstepping all around while stuffing plush rumps into his face. Dave grew up with irony and puppets all around which makes him the kid he is today. The kid growing up learning what it means to be ironic and cool, worshiping and admiring the character his Bro is. While not doing anything related to those things he's working on his comics or even making some sickbeats on his turntables and being simply a kid. Course he wasn't alone as Jade managed to find him and their other friends to get them together on chat. That's right, through the girl who lived on an island she was able to have these friends meet and become the closest bunch one can ever know. So life was cool, he had his best bro to talk to and two other friends (one being his Ectosibling but that isn't known yet.) So his life is full of ironic beats, sword ninja strifling, puppets and plush ass along with good friends.

Not long did news come about some new game coming out called Sburb, except come on clearly Dave is way too cool to play a game that John and Rose seem to be so into. No way is he one of the crowd, nope. Except he did have his own copy which through some shenanigans and a crow along his sword he ended up losing them and no one must ever know. So he fought off and poked fun at them being so into it, but with Rose constantly bugging him he was forced to retrieve a copy. Not his own, those were as good as lost after all. No he had to go and retrieve his Bro's copy. Which he did, after some insane strifling and basically getting his ass kicked to high heavens from his Bro. (What the fuck do you expect? The guy is hard as hell to beat.) Fortunately his Bro let him have the copies so there's that, but Dave also lost his pride. Ouch, shit hurts bad man. But hey at least he got them. With managed time he connected to Rose as her server and was forced to go through what Rose did for John as his server. But he got her into the Medium with just enough time to spare lucky for them.
Alright so now John and Rose are both in the Medium. Now what happens next you ask? Well now it was Dave's turn to enter of course. To do that Jade had to join as his server, which he was perfectly cool with except when she tried to help him when she was sleeping. The girl is far too spacey and "dumb" when she's sleeping that Dave can hardly rely much on her that way. One of her "helpful" ideas was to help the earlier mentioned dead crow by prototyping it with the kernelsprite and bringing it back to life. At least Dave manage to work his way around and with actual help from Jade he got the basics done and out of the way. At one point he was trolled by Tavros but he scared him off with sickbeats and such that it's not even important bringing up. Who cares of a loser like him who can't handle the heat??? Finally they were able to get the item that will enter Dave into the Medium (so much emphasis on the finally for Dave). Sure you can take your time but not when a fucking meteor is on its way to destroy your city along with you in it. Yeah time was counting down and he had to work fast. Except his asshole of a crowsprite had to go and TAKE his Medium entering item and jesus fuck does everything suddenly have it out for him. He's forced to climb the tower on his roof like Pooh Bear reaching for honey only to be knocked back by his crowsprite.
Time was closing in and unaware by the others but known to Dave was that his Bro actually saved his ass. Now how did he do that? The dude fucking sliced a meteor in half. So yeah it saved him time, saved him from getting squashed like a squirrel under a tree trunk. Oops there goes his pride again in not even being able to help himself in a time like this. At least Dave managed to successfully go into the Medium!
Oh right rambunctious crow wants to be prototyped again, it's actually eyeing the remains of Lil Cal. Welp, might as well give it what it wants right? So Dave goes ahead and prototyps that puppet with the crow to get Calsprite.

Worst decision ever.
Holy fuck why did he ever think that would be a smart decision christ he cannot handle this puppet he hates puppets puppets suck Lil Cal is a damn shitty sprite he can't even-- Oh, right, where were we? Well you see during this time John Egbert actually listened to some "advice" given by a troll that led to his death. Yeah, that's right, John Egbert was dead. With him dead then the circle to completely bring the kids into the Medium would that be done. So with John unable to connect to Jade she was not able to be brought into the Medium, which goes to make Dave assume she did not make it out alive. With Rose's suggestion to keep trying in hopes of learning more this continued with four months.
Four months.
Four months Dave Strider fought and ascended levels in strength and worked his way around. But finally he had enough, he knew what he had to do and he had to fix it. So what Dave did was go back into time, yep time travel was actually a thing he is able to do. Learned upon entering the Medium, he's the Knight of Time after all. Making time his bitch with travels and bending it at the hand. Back to the point he went back to the given point that he last talked to John. It seems silly if you think about it, "Oh hey bro me from the future is here and he says not to be a complete moron and do what you're about to do cause you're gonna get yourself killed so sit your ass back down ok good." Sounds like a lot of bullshit right? Thankfully John believes him after considering a birthday note saying he'd always have his back and be there to save his ass from any trouble.
In that time Dave gives all the shit he had on him onto the newly Alpha Dave to prototype himself with the crowsprite and thus became Davesprite. Alternative Future Dave (or well Davesprite now) attained all the knowledge pertaining to Sburb that.. well he's suppose to be hush about or tell through riddles and complicated shit but nah he'll state anything needed asked straight forward without all that crap. Basically his new role was to help the kids here move forward, what as a group they were unable to do in his own timeline. To refrain basically from things ending up like the timeline he was in. (Basically a doomed timeline.) So when Dave needed him to defend him while he slept, Davesprite did exactly that. He wasn't going to let him down after all, nope he was a solid celestial guide to be there when he could. Except as promised once he was done defending the new Alpha Dave and getting rid of all the imps he was on his own.
Not completely alone of course. No he just set himself free from the user with Alpha Dave's given permission, not to abandon or anything but do some duties of his own to help them along. This involved him tracking out Bro (someone he had lost sight of after he saved his ass from the meteor before entering the game.) Not just Bro but their greatest enemy in the Medium Jack Noir. Thus began the incredible battle of Striders against the strong enemy, kicking butt and taking names. However during this time Becquerel was prototyped as Jade entered the Medium and as so Jack Noir took change to it. So the buttkicking did not go as planned, rather Noir got strong and forced Davesprite to flee very wounded into the safety of the sprite necklace and along with bringing the death of Bro Strider. Shit sucks lemons hardcore.
Alright so his Bro was dead now, and he himself a bleeding mess with a wing and a half. Tell me that things don't blow already as it is. Davesprite moved himself forward, still intending on fixing things. And so he went from the Land of Wind and Shade to the Land of Heat and Clockwork. There he met with the Denizen and so was given a choice. A choice, a choice that brought out two paths. The entire purpose of the choices was to fix as that was the Denizen did. So basically his choice was to fix himself or fix the Royal Deringer which was broken in half in his hold. Davesprite went with fixing the sword, since he felt that was right. Not soon after leaving and arriving in Skaia did he run into Jadesprite. Which he conversed with for a bit before asking for her help to send the sword to Alpha Dave as he would need it. The Reckoning had started though and so brought meteors raining down on the battlefield, leaving a frighten of death Davesprite to face in the company of his friend.
Except she then ascended God Tier and was able to save both their lives. Through her space powers she took to a ship and shrunk the planets into her hands and proceeded to go through the fourth wall and take all planets along with their Denizens with her and John to the new session.
All them shenanigans.
Personality: When you meet this kid there's only two ways your thoughts can go. One, man that is one smooth and cool motherfucker. He is about the chillest person that the word chill would change its definition to 'Dave Strider.' Like the word was made just for him. The amounts of cool could not be described. He carries that air about him, not even flinching to most everyday life around. You know he's cool, he knows he's cool, damn he's just so fucking cool. Or there's another way your mind can take you. Which equates to 'wow this guy is one complete utter douchebag'. We'll come down to focus on his facade and pokerfacing first. It's actually a nifty little trick. He keeps everything bottled inside and keeps his expressions straight-faced with no emotions leaking out. You could say he's expressionless and he may slip a look here and there but for the most part it's a constant pokerface. He does his very best not to reveal any emotions, giving only a shrug of his shoulders or a coolkid nod. Even his tone can be douchey but it's just in that forever whatever/chill tone. He's really good at keeping his facade but it does have its slip ups. In most drastic situations or in moments where he's the most stressed out it is very possible to crack no matter how hard he tries to latch onto it. This is especially prominent with Rose when he talks to her about puppets. It's how he's grown up to be; it's how he feels the most secure.
However hidden it shows how insecure Dave can really be, coming down to actually caring about what his friends think of him and to be seen in this ray of cool. Though he doesn't have a lot of understanding in some situations he just faces stuff like that with sarcasm and the front he doesn't give a shit. So while he is a douchebag or coolkid upfront, there's a lot hidden underneath that only people like Rose and John try to get at. More so Rose than the others as she is constantly trying to hold therapy like conversations with him. If there's anyone that is aware of his insecurities and that can really get under his skin its her. Which is seen in his ways of trying to avoid her sometimes. But proven he can rely with her about some stuff like dreams and some fears. It's no denying that Dave is courageous, as he jumps head first into strifling with his kin that he will also jump right into battle in Sburb. He doesn't hesitate and he takes no time to be afraid. He accepts whatever comes at him and faces it without a second thought. Later in the timeline he'll face the strongest enemy, knowing his death is inevitable, and even with that knowledge he toughens up faces it. There is no hesitation when it comes to Dave, especially if it's to protect his friends. No matter the situation or consequences, Dave Strider will risk anything on the line for his friends which proves his loyalty. He sticks by them through and through, and while he does sometimes put them at a distance and acts like a complete tool that doesn't care about them-- he really does deep down. All above also shows his nerve in situations. It's likely due to his brother helping him keep up his constant stoic facade that got rid of any unnerving emotions he may have started off with. Instead when he first began the game and saw the body of himself due to something he decided to do in his time travels he barely batted an eye and thought 'welp guess I won't be doing that. Better get rid of the body before I freak out Harley' who'll be watching in as his Guide. While at the time it actually was a pretty big surprise, he mentally braced himself from then on in case he came face to face with any more bodies of himself from doomed timelines. Because then and there he had stated that dead Daves were the enemies.
At the same time he prepared that eventually he may even face his own death. While he has the nerve for it, he tries his best to avoid it. He can't face the thought of his own death and you can't really blame a thirteen year old kid for that. Try to see yourself at that age facing all of this and be able to keep calm and cool about it. The way Dave is able to handle it so well proves that Bro's teachings didn't go to waste but at the same time it shows Dave hides a lot from the world deep down. He strives to be the best he can, but at the same time he won't dare try and surpass those he greatly admires such as Bro and John. While he more than enjoys Jade exaggerating and basically falling at his feet at how 'cool' he is, he doesn't really consider him as much as that. Not to say he is not confident in his abilities, but he finds that he does have a limit and there's just no chance of being better than those he really looks up to no matter what anybody says. His title IS the Knight of Time but he will never consider himself a hero. As he did state to Terezi in game that John is a Hero, his Bro was a Hero, but he himself will never be one. He'll more than prove that they are heroes, but someone like him won't be able to live to a title like that.
The arrogant side of him just makes him to be real douchey. He'll treat anyone like shit and will more than prove that he really does not care for most people. He'll even make fun of and insult his really close friends that it's hard to imagine why the hell they are friends with such an insufferable prick. It goes to show that it's really hard to approach Dave in a way, at least with all that guard he has up. What makes his friends so acceptable is they're still there despite his attitude. John Egbert ignores all accounts of coolness, a derp like him who is able to influence Dave so much. All his life he thought puppets were cool and awesome, due to his Bro upbringing, but the moment John says how creepy they are has Dave's opinions of them changing even if he tried to defend them for his Bro's sake. Though he admits later to Rose how much he dislikes and hates them. Mostly it's just people he admires that have such a strong influence, but John seems to have the most of it. Of course all this friendship he really holds close to him and mean a lot to him as mentioned he won't ever admit but shows it in some ways. As in this timeline he regretted everything and came back to save his best bro John from killing himself, in turn saving Jade's life as well though in the process abandoning his sister Rose in a doomed timeline. There is no limit to Dave's loyalty. He decides at that moment to go with the flow than think things any more over, after all that's how he was raised.
This is all that makes up Dave Strider, who Davesprite is or was depending on what you think. However, you see Davesprite is Dave no matter what appearances and different experiences go. But now we'll talk about the part that makes him who he at this moment. Unlike the new Alpha Dave, Davesprite had gone through four months in the game. Four months having to deal with two of his best friend's deaths, more importantly one that was caused by a troll that he ended up taking blame on his part. During his time it's easy to say that Dave has gone through a lot. He has kept up held in anger, aggravation with the situation and the accounts that got him and Rose where they were. He's shown to be overly protective of John against the trolls, though he does come to tolerate Terezi what with after their conversation with him-- he still states that while she is pretty cool and all he'll tolerate so long as she "dont bug john". It shows he still holds a somewhat grudge against the trolls and more or less will talk to them if only necessary. Dave's emotions are easy to get the best of him in his state after the stress he's gone through for four months, which could easily feel like a year to him after everything he's been through. So when saying to him that he isn't the "real dave" it is a huge slap in the face to him and you’ll probably regret saying it. He snaps at his own best friend when he says it to him. His past self would be easy to cover up with his pokerface but it goes to show Davesprite is more than likely to slip out more emotions and not bother to cover it up. Because he supposedly was "not Dave", this timeline was not his own so he was not the "real" Dave. Rather he was just another useless clone that could get himself killed in a doomed timeline. Everything he's gone through was basically said not "real" with words like that, the pain at losing his friends, the suffering he was pushed through to the point he was forced to go back and fix things and he wasn't even awarded with a "thank you." So yeah he was bitter, pained and hurt. While Rose did remember some things from that doomed timeline, she was still apart of this timeline. So even though he got his friends back, he felt more alone than he ever was. Though he was upset at not being seen as a real Dave too, it shows and he explained that he's accepted the fact that he isn't "Alpha Dave" anymore. He doesn't run the show, he's just the celestial guide now and he's fine with it. He understands and he's said even to himself that it's all good, he's there to help out and make sure shit don't go wrong, that's his purpose now.
Of course Davesprite isn't completely selfish, even if he ended up like this he still fixed everything. With that in mind there was still so much he could do, like defend the new "Alpha Dave" while he slept until taking off on his own. Leading to Bro and ended up losing a what was first a winning battle, so now he lost his own kin in front of him and was forced to flee. If Shit was a story, this would be his life. He failed yet again, not being able to help his Bro out and was now a bleeding mess. But even then he still fought against all odds, you'd think at this point he would have given up but he still tried to do all he could for this timeline. He had a purpose after bringing himself back. Now when faced with the decision to fix himself or a broken sword now in hand, what would you have done? If you could save yourself you'd likely go for it, let it be selfish or not. Davesprite however chose to fix the sword instead of himself. Perhaps in a way he was being selfless, but when asked why he did that he responded "it's what felt right." So even with all that crap he'll still do whatever he can if it feels right to him, to help them out still. Eventually he came to find Jadesprite, a relationship tie he could connect to. She was like him in a way. They were both alone, not exactly meant to be here but most of all she can relate to him. So having someone like that made things easier for him, he explained to her how he was actually pretty afraid to die and with how he was he could possibly die any moment. But once he gave Alpha Dave this sword then he'll have done all he could to help, then it'd be on the kids of this timeline's job. It wouldn't be so bad with company, you’d think. That is, of course, until she reached God Tier and left Davesprite alone, and once said by Dave was Jade seemed like the person he could protect and help unlike John (who is a hero) and Rose who could handle things herself. So once again Davesprite is left feeling useless. Of course once he meets up with his friends he seems to reply to any obvious (even hurtful) comments with blunt honestly instead of hiding behind irony or some stupid comment. He also seems to relax pretty easily in the company of his friends, as if every danger form before didn't happen and their just thirteen year olds behind the computer screen. So he may act differently in actual company than how he does behind orange creamsicle text.
Abilities, Weaknesses and Power Limitations:
STRIDERKIND; Since the very moment Bro Strider found Dave as a baby he had been forcing this kid into training. From teaching him to flashstep, throwing the kid off roofs and ninja sword fighting with him. So Dave is pretty fast on his feet, to the point he can flashstep just like his brother. Of course not nearly as fast but he can vanish from one spot to another with hardly any effort. He's also quite the swordsman, give him a sword and he'll teach anyone a thing or two about messing with him.
+ 4 MONTHS TRAINING; Unlike the new Alpha Dave, Davesprite had gone through four months of training and raising his levels. So chances are he might be a lot better than his new Alpha self in skills, but there's no way he'll go to the effort of proving that or showing off. A Strider doesn't show off.
SPRITE PROTOYPING; A properly prototyped sprite is given access to a wealth of knowledge about Sburb, but there are apparently limits on what a player's sprite can tell them and when, and sprites are supposed to be coy in nature. DAVESPRITE, however, decides this is all nonsense and agrees to tell the kids anything they need to know. He's also able to use the sprite necklace to go inside and hide himself, it's originally used by Dave to call him if he ever needed him but Dave set him free so there was no use for that. Sprites also have their own kind of abilities that they can use to help their player in fighting, Davesprite has shown to use these abilities to add writing to a note later in the comic. Sprites have also been shown the ability to float/fly (even though none have wings like in Davesprite's case.) Also since the first prototype was a crow with a sword through his chest Davesprite has the ability to appearify the sword out of him and into his hand, and appearify it back into his chest with no harm being made.
All sprite abilities pertaining to having knowledge about the game and so forth will be removed, he'll still be able to fly but it'll actually use up his stamina in this case since he's no longer a role part of the game but more human. So this means he'll have human requirements again such as eating, sleeping and using the bathroom etc etc.
Inventory: Shades and the sprite necklace.
Appearance: Basically Davesprite will look like this. Since his physical injuries will be healed upon arrival he won't be a bleeding mess and his torn wing will be repaired. And since his lower half was a wispy ghost-like tail he'll be provided with having legs.
Age: Thirteen; it's probably obvious by now from other Homestuck applicants but they've all gone through a lot of shit and dark settings that make them easy fit for this game.

Screw all this pain, screw everything he's been through - they've been through - this game, that fight, jack, everyone just.. screw everything right now. Blood spills from the open wound in his stomach, orange feathers scattered about with yellow splattered all over as the now torn wing shudders and would scream in anguish if it had a mouth of its own. Not Dave, not this Dave. He's flat pressed against the ground, his only working wing flexing and struggling to keep moving, as if confused by the sudden notion of the other not moving along with it - its parallel partner torn apart. One hand is pressed against the injury, teeth gritting and jaws clenched. His amount of cool has shot down to complete absolute zero; zip, nadda, nothing. It's a shame especially if that's what his bro, the man who taught him everything and grew up with along his teachings, is likely last to see. Dave wasn't going to act like a child, he wasn't going to deny what was happening here right now. He wasn't going to throw a fucking tantrum, he wasn't going to flip his shit and scold his bro and demand he not die. Cause no matter what it's happening. Fuck if he's gonna involve some shitty line he made with his comics, that is definitely not happening. Though when was a Strider ever serious, when was he ever uncool even in the face of death? Not his Bro, who's only a small distance away and yet.. feels so far.
The younger strider is cursing to himself, struggling to keep impassive about this, through the pain both physically and mentally. You can't expect much from a kid, even one that's been programed as a sprite with amounts of knowledge and shit. He knows so much about the game. About the works and shits you won't even begin to imagine. But it will never prepare him for the consequences, not consequences like this. It's hard being a shitty bird sprite kid. It's hard and no one will ever fucking understand. It's infuriating, but he's not gonna bitch and whine, he's better than that. He's also gone so much shit already. He's gone through his two best friends dying and leaving his ectosister behind in a doomed timeline. Still, he's not gonna let his brother see any of the emotions churning and flaming in the guts of his being. The shredded hope that everything will be fine, the pain of losing his closest kin to a father he had, the mentor throughout his life, the one who made him the coolkid who he was. Not the coolkid he is right now, and he would apologize if he could but he won't. Bro always had his way of knowing, he understood everything about Dave without his saying. Like some telepathic connection if you want to consider Rose's definitions of it.
But he just knew he knew. He pushed up, lips pressed tightly together as he gave no hiss of pain or any sound that would connect to the wounds he was suffering. Bro was in a worse state than he and he acted like he was fine. He always acted fine. Fuck if that annoyed him, even now. For once would you just fucking show him? ..Wow he was losing it here, what good would that do? Bro will always be a step ahead. Man he's probably comparing this moment to one of his shitty ironic animes for all he knew. Despite all this, he pushes to sit up, moving over but stopping suddenly. Talk about some bullshit, these are their final moments together and this fuckery of a game won't allow any ironic brotherly bonding end. fuck you game.

Okay no really it's super confusing but I'm gonna give it a go and explain to you this kid here's history. Which is weird from even before Dave was even born. Why is that? Well first off he and his three friends (along with their caretaker) were created through the science of Ectobiology. Paradox clones to be precise, made out of green goo and congratulations you got babies on your hand dear John Egbert. Oh yes that's right, John was actually the one in charge of this creation and the person to make it happen. So it's through him his friends (including himself!) was "born" in the lab. Not long after they were created were they sent off. Each in their own asteroid or meteor of their own with something to join them along side. Dave here was sent off on a pony, yes that's right a pony. In Texas the asteroid crashed and what a relief it is Dave came up unharmed! However the pony he was riding on was not so fortunate and was killed in the crash. He wasn't alone for long for coincidence was that Bro Strider came across him and adopted him under his care as a little brother. What makes it coincidence is for the fact that through the acts of Ectobiology Bro Strider was actually his own father. (He too had been created in the lab during that time.)
So for the next thirteen years did Bro take care and watch over Dave, putting him through training of strifling on roofs and doing sickbeats rap battles and ninja flashstepping all around while stuffing plush rumps into his face. Dave grew up with irony and puppets all around which makes him the kid he is today. The kid growing up learning what it means to be ironic and cool, worshiping and admiring the character his Bro is. While not doing anything related to those things he's working on his comics or even making some sickbeats on his turntables and being simply a kid. Course he wasn't alone as Jade managed to find him and their other friends to get them together on chat. That's right, through the girl who lived on an island she was able to have these friends meet and become the closest bunch one can ever know. So life was cool, he had his best bro to talk to and two other friends (one being his Ectosibling but that isn't known yet.) So his life is full of ironic beats, sword ninja strifling, puppets and plush ass along with good friends.
Soooo coooooool.
Not long did news come about some new game coming out called Sburb, except come on clearly Dave is way too cool to play a game that John and Rose seem to be so into. No way is he one of the crowd, nope. Except he did have his own copy which through some shenanigans and a crow along his sword he ended up losing them and no one must ever know. So he fought off and poked fun at them being so into it, but with Rose constantly bugging him he was forced to retrieve a copy. Not his own, those were as good as lost after all. No he had to go and retrieve his Bro's copy. Which he did, after some insane strifling and basically getting his ass kicked to high heavens from his Bro. (What the fuck do you expect? The guy is hard as hell to beat.) Fortunately his Bro let him have the copies so there's that, but Dave also lost his pride. Ouch, shit hurts bad man. But hey at least he got them. With managed time he connected to Rose as her server and was forced to go through what Rose did for John as his server. But he got her into the Medium with just enough time to spare lucky for them.
Alright so now John and Rose are both in the Medium. Now what happens next you ask? Well now it was Dave's turn to enter of course. To do that Jade had to join as his server, which he was perfectly cool with except when she tried to help him when she was sleeping. The girl is far too spacey and "dumb" when she's sleeping that Dave can hardly rely much on her that way. One of her "helpful" ideas was to help the earlier mentioned dead crow by prototyping it with the kernelsprite and bringing it back to life. At least Dave manage to work his way around and with actual help from Jade he got the basics done and out of the way. At one point he was trolled by Tavros but he scared him off with sickbeats and such that it's not even important bringing up. Who cares of a loser like him who can't handle the heat??? Finally they were able to get the item that will enter Dave into the Medium (so much emphasis on the finally for Dave). Sure you can take your time but not when a fucking meteor is on its way to destroy your city along with you in it. Yeah time was counting down and he had to work fast. Except his asshole of a crowsprite had to go and TAKE his Medium entering item and jesus fuck does everything suddenly have it out for him. He's forced to climb the tower on his roof like Pooh Bear reaching for honey only to be knocked back by his crowsprite.
Time was closing in and unaware by the others but known to Dave was that his Bro actually saved his ass. Now how did he do that? The dude fucking sliced a meteor in half. So yeah it saved him time, saved him from getting squashed like a squirrel under a tree trunk. Oops there goes his pride again in not even being able to help himself in a time like this. At least Dave managed to successfully go into the Medium!
Oh right rambunctious crow wants to be prototyped again, it's actually eyeing the remains of Lil Cal. Welp, might as well give it what it wants right? So Dave goes ahead and prototyps that puppet with the crow to get Calsprite.

Worst decision ever.
Holy fuck why did he ever think that would be a smart decision christ he cannot handle this puppet he hates puppets puppets suck Lil Cal is a damn shitty sprite he can't even-- Oh, right, where were we? Well you see during this time John Egbert actually listened to some "advice" given by a troll that led to his death. Yeah, that's right, John Egbert was dead. With him dead then the circle to completely bring the kids into the Medium would that be done. So with John unable to connect to Jade she was not able to be brought into the Medium, which goes to make Dave assume she did not make it out alive. With Rose's suggestion to keep trying in hopes of learning more this continued with four months.
Four months.
Four months Dave Strider fought and ascended levels in strength and worked his way around. But finally he had enough, he knew what he had to do and he had to fix it. So what Dave did was go back into time, yep time travel was actually a thing he is able to do. Learned upon entering the Medium, he's the Knight of Time after all. Making time his bitch with travels and bending it at the hand. Back to the point he went back to the given point that he last talked to John. It seems silly if you think about it, "Oh hey bro me from the future is here and he says not to be a complete moron and do what you're about to do cause you're gonna get yourself killed so sit your ass back down ok good." Sounds like a lot of bullshit right? Thankfully John believes him after considering a birthday note saying he'd always have his back and be there to save his ass from any trouble.
In that time Dave gives all the shit he had on him onto the newly Alpha Dave to prototype himself with the crowsprite and thus became Davesprite. Alternative Future Dave (or well Davesprite now) attained all the knowledge pertaining to Sburb that.. well he's suppose to be hush about or tell through riddles and complicated shit but nah he'll state anything needed asked straight forward without all that crap. Basically his new role was to help the kids here move forward, what as a group they were unable to do in his own timeline. To refrain basically from things ending up like the timeline he was in. (Basically a doomed timeline.) So when Dave needed him to defend him while he slept, Davesprite did exactly that. He wasn't going to let him down after all, nope he was a solid celestial guide to be there when he could. Except as promised once he was done defending the new Alpha Dave and getting rid of all the imps he was on his own.
Not completely alone of course. No he just set himself free from the user with Alpha Dave's given permission, not to abandon or anything but do some duties of his own to help them along. This involved him tracking out Bro (someone he had lost sight of after he saved his ass from the meteor before entering the game.) Not just Bro but their greatest enemy in the Medium Jack Noir. Thus began the incredible battle of Striders against the strong enemy, kicking butt and taking names. However during this time Becquerel was prototyped as Jade entered the Medium and as so Jack Noir took change to it. So the buttkicking did not go as planned, rather Noir got strong and forced Davesprite to flee very wounded into the safety of the sprite necklace and along with bringing the death of Bro Strider. Shit sucks lemons hardcore.
Alright so his Bro was dead now, and he himself a bleeding mess with a wing and a half. Tell me that things don't blow already as it is. Davesprite moved himself forward, still intending on fixing things. And so he went from the Land of Wind and Shade to the Land of Heat and Clockwork. There he met with the Denizen and so was given a choice. A choice, a choice that brought out two paths. The entire purpose of the choices was to fix as that was the Denizen did. So basically his choice was to fix himself or fix the Royal Deringer which was broken in half in his hold. Davesprite went with fixing the sword, since he felt that was right. Not soon after leaving and arriving in Skaia did he run into Jadesprite. Which he conversed with for a bit before asking for her help to send the sword to Alpha Dave as he would need it. The Reckoning had started though and so brought meteors raining down on the battlefield, leaving a frighten of death Davesprite to face in the company of his friend.
Except she then ascended God Tier and was able to save both their lives. Through her space powers she took to a ship and shrunk the planets into her hands and proceeded to go through the fourth wall and take all planets along with their Denizens with her and John to the new session.
All them shenanigans.
Personality: When you meet this kid there's only two ways your thoughts can go. One, man that is one smooth and cool motherfucker. He is about the chillest person that the word chill would change its definition to 'Dave Strider.' Like the word was made just for him. The amounts of cool could not be described. He carries that air about him, not even flinching to most everyday life around. You know he's cool, he knows he's cool, damn he's just so fucking cool. Or there's another way your mind can take you. Which equates to 'wow this guy is one complete utter douchebag'. We'll come down to focus on his facade and pokerfacing first. It's actually a nifty little trick. He keeps everything bottled inside and keeps his expressions straight-faced with no emotions leaking out. You could say he's expressionless and he may slip a look here and there but for the most part it's a constant pokerface. He does his very best not to reveal any emotions, giving only a shrug of his shoulders or a coolkid nod. Even his tone can be douchey but it's just in that forever whatever/chill tone. He's really good at keeping his facade but it does have its slip ups. In most drastic situations or in moments where he's the most stressed out it is very possible to crack no matter how hard he tries to latch onto it. This is especially prominent with Rose when he talks to her about puppets. It's how he's grown up to be; it's how he feels the most secure.
However hidden it shows how insecure Dave can really be, coming down to actually caring about what his friends think of him and to be seen in this ray of cool. Though he doesn't have a lot of understanding in some situations he just faces stuff like that with sarcasm and the front he doesn't give a shit. So while he is a douchebag or coolkid upfront, there's a lot hidden underneath that only people like Rose and John try to get at. More so Rose than the others as she is constantly trying to hold therapy like conversations with him. If there's anyone that is aware of his insecurities and that can really get under his skin its her. Which is seen in his ways of trying to avoid her sometimes. But proven he can rely with her about some stuff like dreams and some fears. It's no denying that Dave is courageous, as he jumps head first into strifling with his kin that he will also jump right into battle in Sburb. He doesn't hesitate and he takes no time to be afraid. He accepts whatever comes at him and faces it without a second thought. Later in the timeline he'll face the strongest enemy, knowing his death is inevitable, and even with that knowledge he toughens up faces it. There is no hesitation when it comes to Dave, especially if it's to protect his friends. No matter the situation or consequences, Dave Strider will risk anything on the line for his friends which proves his loyalty. He sticks by them through and through, and while he does sometimes put them at a distance and acts like a complete tool that doesn't care about them-- he really does deep down. All above also shows his nerve in situations. It's likely due to his brother helping him keep up his constant stoic facade that got rid of any unnerving emotions he may have started off with. Instead when he first began the game and saw the body of himself due to something he decided to do in his time travels he barely batted an eye and thought 'welp guess I won't be doing that. Better get rid of the body before I freak out Harley' who'll be watching in as his Guide. While at the time it actually was a pretty big surprise, he mentally braced himself from then on in case he came face to face with any more bodies of himself from doomed timelines. Because then and there he had stated that dead Daves were the enemies.
At the same time he prepared that eventually he may even face his own death. While he has the nerve for it, he tries his best to avoid it. He can't face the thought of his own death and you can't really blame a thirteen year old kid for that. Try to see yourself at that age facing all of this and be able to keep calm and cool about it. The way Dave is able to handle it so well proves that Bro's teachings didn't go to waste but at the same time it shows Dave hides a lot from the world deep down. He strives to be the best he can, but at the same time he won't dare try and surpass those he greatly admires such as Bro and John. While he more than enjoys Jade exaggerating and basically falling at his feet at how 'cool' he is, he doesn't really consider him as much as that. Not to say he is not confident in his abilities, but he finds that he does have a limit and there's just no chance of being better than those he really looks up to no matter what anybody says. His title IS the Knight of Time but he will never consider himself a hero. As he did state to Terezi in game that John is a Hero, his Bro was a Hero, but he himself will never be one. He'll more than prove that they are heroes, but someone like him won't be able to live to a title like that.
The arrogant side of him just makes him to be real douchey. He'll treat anyone like shit and will more than prove that he really does not care for most people. He'll even make fun of and insult his really close friends that it's hard to imagine why the hell they are friends with such an insufferable prick. It goes to show that it's really hard to approach Dave in a way, at least with all that guard he has up. What makes his friends so acceptable is they're still there despite his attitude. John Egbert ignores all accounts of coolness, a derp like him who is able to influence Dave so much. All his life he thought puppets were cool and awesome, due to his Bro upbringing, but the moment John says how creepy they are has Dave's opinions of them changing even if he tried to defend them for his Bro's sake. Though he admits later to Rose how much he dislikes and hates them. Mostly it's just people he admires that have such a strong influence, but John seems to have the most of it. Of course all this friendship he really holds close to him and mean a lot to him as mentioned he won't ever admit but shows it in some ways. As in this timeline he regretted everything and came back to save his best bro John from killing himself, in turn saving Jade's life as well though in the process abandoning his sister Rose in a doomed timeline. There is no limit to Dave's loyalty. He decides at that moment to go with the flow than think things any more over, after all that's how he was raised.
This is all that makes up Dave Strider, who Davesprite is or was depending on what you think. However, you see Davesprite is Dave no matter what appearances and different experiences go. But now we'll talk about the part that makes him who he at this moment. Unlike the new Alpha Dave, Davesprite had gone through four months in the game. Four months having to deal with two of his best friend's deaths, more importantly one that was caused by a troll that he ended up taking blame on his part. During his time it's easy to say that Dave has gone through a lot. He has kept up held in anger, aggravation with the situation and the accounts that got him and Rose where they were. He's shown to be overly protective of John against the trolls, though he does come to tolerate Terezi what with after their conversation with him-- he still states that while she is pretty cool and all he'll tolerate so long as she "dont bug john". It shows he still holds a somewhat grudge against the trolls and more or less will talk to them if only necessary. Dave's emotions are easy to get the best of him in his state after the stress he's gone through for four months, which could easily feel like a year to him after everything he's been through. So when saying to him that he isn't the "real dave" it is a huge slap in the face to him and you’ll probably regret saying it. He snaps at his own best friend when he says it to him. His past self would be easy to cover up with his pokerface but it goes to show Davesprite is more than likely to slip out more emotions and not bother to cover it up. Because he supposedly was "not Dave", this timeline was not his own so he was not the "real" Dave. Rather he was just another useless clone that could get himself killed in a doomed timeline. Everything he's gone through was basically said not "real" with words like that, the pain at losing his friends, the suffering he was pushed through to the point he was forced to go back and fix things and he wasn't even awarded with a "thank you." So yeah he was bitter, pained and hurt. While Rose did remember some things from that doomed timeline, she was still apart of this timeline. So even though he got his friends back, he felt more alone than he ever was. Though he was upset at not being seen as a real Dave too, it shows and he explained that he's accepted the fact that he isn't "Alpha Dave" anymore. He doesn't run the show, he's just the celestial guide now and he's fine with it. He understands and he's said even to himself that it's all good, he's there to help out and make sure shit don't go wrong, that's his purpose now.
Of course Davesprite isn't completely selfish, even if he ended up like this he still fixed everything. With that in mind there was still so much he could do, like defend the new "Alpha Dave" while he slept until taking off on his own. Leading to Bro and ended up losing a what was first a winning battle, so now he lost his own kin in front of him and was forced to flee. If Shit was a story, this would be his life. He failed yet again, not being able to help his Bro out and was now a bleeding mess. But even then he still fought against all odds, you'd think at this point he would have given up but he still tried to do all he could for this timeline. He had a purpose after bringing himself back. Now when faced with the decision to fix himself or a broken sword now in hand, what would you have done? If you could save yourself you'd likely go for it, let it be selfish or not. Davesprite however chose to fix the sword instead of himself. Perhaps in a way he was being selfless, but when asked why he did that he responded "it's what felt right." So even with all that crap he'll still do whatever he can if it feels right to him, to help them out still. Eventually he came to find Jadesprite, a relationship tie he could connect to. She was like him in a way. They were both alone, not exactly meant to be here but most of all she can relate to him. So having someone like that made things easier for him, he explained to her how he was actually pretty afraid to die and with how he was he could possibly die any moment. But once he gave Alpha Dave this sword then he'll have done all he could to help, then it'd be on the kids of this timeline's job. It wouldn't be so bad with company, you’d think. That is, of course, until she reached God Tier and left Davesprite alone, and once said by Dave was Jade seemed like the person he could protect and help unlike John (who is a hero) and Rose who could handle things herself. So once again Davesprite is left feeling useless. Of course once he meets up with his friends he seems to reply to any obvious (even hurtful) comments with blunt honestly instead of hiding behind irony or some stupid comment. He also seems to relax pretty easily in the company of his friends, as if every danger form before didn't happen and their just thirteen year olds behind the computer screen. So he may act differently in actual company than how he does behind orange creamsicle text.
Abilities, Weaknesses and Power Limitations:
STRIDERKIND; Since the very moment Bro Strider found Dave as a baby he had been forcing this kid into training. From teaching him to flashstep, throwing the kid off roofs and ninja sword fighting with him. So Dave is pretty fast on his feet, to the point he can flashstep just like his brother. Of course not nearly as fast but he can vanish from one spot to another with hardly any effort. He's also quite the swordsman, give him a sword and he'll teach anyone a thing or two about messing with him.
+ 4 MONTHS TRAINING; Unlike the new Alpha Dave, Davesprite had gone through four months of training and raising his levels. So chances are he might be a lot better than his new Alpha self in skills, but there's no way he'll go to the effort of proving that or showing off. A Strider doesn't show off.
SPRITE PROTOYPING; A properly prototyped sprite is given access to a wealth of knowledge about Sburb, but there are apparently limits on what a player's sprite can tell them and when, and sprites are supposed to be coy in nature. DAVESPRITE, however, decides this is all nonsense and agrees to tell the kids anything they need to know. He's also able to use the sprite necklace to go inside and hide himself, it's originally used by Dave to call him if he ever needed him but Dave set him free so there was no use for that. Sprites also have their own kind of abilities that they can use to help their player in fighting, Davesprite has shown to use these abilities to add writing to a note later in the comic. Sprites have also been shown the ability to float/fly (even though none have wings like in Davesprite's case.) Also since the first prototype was a crow with a sword through his chest Davesprite has the ability to appearify the sword out of him and into his hand, and appearify it back into his chest with no harm being made.
All sprite abilities pertaining to having knowledge about the game and so forth will be removed, he'll still be able to fly but it'll actually use up his stamina in this case since he's no longer a role part of the game but more human. So this means he'll have human requirements again such as eating, sleeping and using the bathroom etc etc.
Inventory: Shades and the sprite necklace.
Appearance: Basically Davesprite will look like this. Since his physical injuries will be healed upon arrival he won't be a bleeding mess and his torn wing will be repaired. And since his lower half was a wispy ghost-like tail he'll be provided with having legs.
Age: Thirteen; it's probably obvious by now from other Homestuck applicants but they've all gone through a lot of shit and dark settings that make them easy fit for this game.

Screw all this pain, screw everything he's been through - they've been through - this game, that fight, jack, everyone just.. screw everything right now. Blood spills from the open wound in his stomach, orange feathers scattered about with yellow splattered all over as the now torn wing shudders and would scream in anguish if it had a mouth of its own. Not Dave, not this Dave. He's flat pressed against the ground, his only working wing flexing and struggling to keep moving, as if confused by the sudden notion of the other not moving along with it - its parallel partner torn apart. One hand is pressed against the injury, teeth gritting and jaws clenched. His amount of cool has shot down to complete absolute zero; zip, nadda, nothing. It's a shame especially if that's what his bro, the man who taught him everything and grew up with along his teachings, is likely last to see. Dave wasn't going to act like a child, he wasn't going to deny what was happening here right now. He wasn't going to throw a fucking tantrum, he wasn't going to flip his shit and scold his bro and demand he not die. Cause no matter what it's happening. Fuck if he's gonna involve some shitty line he made with his comics, that is definitely not happening. Though when was a Strider ever serious, when was he ever uncool even in the face of death? Not his Bro, who's only a small distance away and yet.. feels so far.
The younger strider is cursing to himself, struggling to keep impassive about this, through the pain both physically and mentally. You can't expect much from a kid, even one that's been programed as a sprite with amounts of knowledge and shit. He knows so much about the game. About the works and shits you won't even begin to imagine. But it will never prepare him for the consequences, not consequences like this. It's hard being a shitty bird sprite kid. It's hard and no one will ever fucking understand. It's infuriating, but he's not gonna bitch and whine, he's better than that. He's also gone so much shit already. He's gone through his two best friends dying and leaving his ectosister behind in a doomed timeline. Still, he's not gonna let his brother see any of the emotions churning and flaming in the guts of his being. The shredded hope that everything will be fine, the pain of losing his closest kin to a father he had, the mentor throughout his life, the one who made him the coolkid who he was. Not the coolkid he is right now, and he would apologize if he could but he won't. Bro always had his way of knowing, he understood everything about Dave without his saying. Like some telepathic connection if you want to consider Rose's definitions of it.
But he just knew he knew. He pushed up, lips pressed tightly together as he gave no hiss of pain or any sound that would connect to the wounds he was suffering. Bro was in a worse state than he and he acted like he was fine. He always acted fine. Fuck if that annoyed him, even now. For once would you just fucking show him? ..Wow he was losing it here, what good would that do? Bro will always be a step ahead. Man he's probably comparing this moment to one of his shitty ironic animes for all he knew. Despite all this, he pushes to sit up, moving over but stopping suddenly. Talk about some bullshit, these are their final moments together and this fuckery of a game won't allow any ironic brotherly bonding end. fuck you game.
