Okay... **crosses fingers and knocks on wood** I think I'm better. I had some chicken noodle soup last night... yes, in the middle of summer. Then I took tylenol and went to sleep, so... I think I'm better now.

On the other hand (before I got sick), yesterday I remembered why I don't go to the mall anymore. Well, at least not when my father's there. Or my mother. Or, yanno, any family, really.

I was in a bookstore, and all of a sudden, my ex popped out from the bookshelves; apparently he had seen me, then hidden in the next aisle so he could startle me. And he did, with me making my little 'Ack! What the... where did you come from' noise, and the expression on my face apparently afforded him much amusement.

So, my dad comes over, and tells me he'll meet me out in the food court whenever I'm done, because I have my books (Including the second 'Sisterhood' book, Court), and I just need to pay. Well, I go to pay, my ex walking with me 'cause he's ready to pay, too, and look out the door to the mall. Yeah, there's my dad, sitting there, eating. Okay, so he's still there... everything's cool.

Including the hot college guy working the cash register that was totally flirting with me :D

Well, we get done, and my ex is still walking with me to go meet up with my dad, only... my dad's gone. I shrug, thinking, 'Hey, he just went into the bathroom. I can wait.' So my ex and I wait for half an hour, and my dad doesn't reappear. By now, I've established that he's not in the bathroom, because seriously? Public bathrooms?

Anyway, so then we decided to walk down to an ice cream shop 'cause my ex was hungry. So we go down there, and on the way back up the mall, run into my dad, who made quite a scene.

It involved cussing and name calling, with angry expressions and yelling... so I'm standing there, trying not to either A) yell right back or B) cry, and there are people staring at us, so I decide to just walk off. You know, I really don't have to take that kind of shit. So my dad now decides he wants something from the ice cream place, and my ex walks back with me to the food court, telling me how much of an ass my dad is, and I needed that, I guess, because I was blaming myself. It was not my fault that he wandered into another store, then the book store looking for me... I mean, I didn't know. He told me he'd wait, not get frustrated and walk off.

So, in the end he did apologize, 'cause apparently the other night, at the town festival thingy, my little sister disappeared for over an hour, leaving the place where she was told to stay. She was grounded, and I hate my parent's form of ground for her... but I'll not rant about that.

Highlight: hot college guy flirting with me ;)
Down side: Huge scene made in middle of mall.
Just my life... **eyeroll**

mall, random, drama
