So I posted yesterday (well for me it was yesterday) the trailer for the remake of Frightnight. So today i went and looked to see who was playing who etc since I remember seeing the film as a teen. It was one of the first vampire movies i ever saw that wasn't made my Hammer studio's.

There is a meta about the Original 1985 FrightNight
Here that includes a few pictures of the original Cast. It also explains a lot of the reason's why l loved the campy romp that is the Original Fright Night.
All though im excited to see some Vamp's that don't sparkle. And David Tennant in what looks like Chris Angel/Goth/Drag. (and shirtless). And the trailer itself for the remake is about a million times Better even if you forgive the 80's horror trailer campness of the
Original But it doesn't look like there is any of the gay undertones in this one at all. Dandrige doesn't even have Billy Cole his assistant/server/lover. (he isn't listed as a character in the imdb entry). So I'm guessing there is no coming out analogies or male victims.
Doesn't mean i cant put my slash goggles on. Which will be a hell of a lot easier with all the man meat running around in the remake. (everyone except for McDowell in the original were never what i consider eyecandy.)
But still here is some more pretty to drool over. I couldn't find a picture of Tennant with the Bandolero of stakes but im hopeful. ( i think i have a bandolero kink!)
