Here be spoilers )

*shudder* I don' t know what it is about Matthew and Mary getting flirty that makes me want to throw up. I know they were the UST-y couple in the show for a while and that loads of people shipped them, but it just didn' t work for me.

yup yup yup. Clara is wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey, humany-wumany, moffaty-woffaty. I eyerolled.

The new TARDIS interior is very pretty, but seems to lack warmth and heart. In that way it parallels beautifully with this show's era.

The new interior is definitely cooler in its colour palette. You' re right about the emotional parallel, too.

It' s sad,but I think I' m watching DW these days more from habit. I find the Big Finish stuff much more satisfying. Moffat should hire some of their writers.

I actually liked this Christmas episode more than any other from the Moffat era; at least Matt Smith wasn't acting like a hyperactive mentally deficient child. And yes, Clara is awfully Moffaty, but her acting is certainly a lot stronger than Gillan's, and maybe her "mystery" will be more interesting. Or will at least pay off in some way, which a lot of Moffat's stuff doesn't. I didn't want to punch anyone in the face at the end of it, anyway, and I think I'm going to enjoy the two of them together more than I liked him with the Ponds.

As for Downton Abbey, that show cracks me up. Every scene is just people stating exactly what's on their minds at the given moment. A complete lack of subtext. And yes, Matthew is... Matthew. I cannot fathom why people find that actor or that character interesting at all.

I' m glad you found something to like in The Snowmen. I agree with you about JLC - she seems more accomplished as an actress, but yes, the character is your typical Moffat female.

I don' t get Matthew/Dan Stevens either. I still haven' t seen DA, although I know what happens at the end/ and saw that I TTV actually put out a statement to explain why it happened!
