E constantly speaks to me with "da" and "ba." You can tell she is trying to mimic the rhythm and sentence structure of the English language by the pauses in her speech and the length of her syllables. A typical statement might be "da, da, da, daaaaa . . . ba-ba ba da-da da da daaa

I too fantasize about living on land in the hill country, even if we just own it and camp on the weekends (I can't wait to take E camping). I'd move out there now but C is scared of the commute. Bummer.

I know you've been absenty from LJ for a bit. But I'm finally in Austin and I joined a group of other tentative, sort of shy to have met on the internet moms through austinmamas.com. Every one has kids under 1 yr.
