I'm not very educated when it comes to politics, I'll admit.  I hope desperately that Obama becomes our BEST!PRESIDENT!EVA and that Congress starts to think of what's best for the country and not about partisan lines.  I severely doubt that the latter part will happen.

Which would be avoiding work.  Am alive.  Will update more later, but I'm tired.  Have to go back to Kansas tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it.  So much to do before I leave and even more to do once I get there.  I'm dreading United's forcasted four hour layover in Denver but maybe I can get some work done that I've been dodging this week.

Probably my allergies should be blamed.  Today, instead of doing any of the things I had planned to do, I spent a couple of hours trying to get the new DVR set up.  The second tech guy gave up after we'd spent over an hour on the phone and said he'd get a technician sent to my house (for free, happily) to get it all working.  My telly works, but ( Read more... )

1.  Went on vacation.  Had a good time.  Did the bridge climb in Sydney and had fewer issues with it than expected.  Even enjoyed self at times.  Spent far too much money on vacation and probably would have been happier in New Zealand or in a beach house in North Carolina, but live and learn.  Felt like Australia was just like California/Canada.  ( Read more... )

This is the second DVR I've had die.  This time I think I only lost about 80 hours of programming.

Most upsetting?  It ate the most recent Doctor Who and Stargate Atlantis and I can't find anywhere to get the episodes.   *sobs*  Why can't Scifi repeat the episodes once in a while?

I got home Thursday night and have had the last few days to myself.  No work.  So exciting.  Haven't heard about an extension from them so we'll have to see.  I leave tomorrow around 2ish to start my vacation.  I have super long layovers in LAX, but I'll try to make the best of it.  I need to get to work on the packing now.
