Someone please, PLEASE tell me what became of my talent for writing excellent english papers. Please. Because I can't find it anywhere, and it's driving me crazy. I've just spent three hours on a paper so far, and I'm not even half way through. It's only supposed to be 1,200 words or so. I can usually do these things in an hour. What gives? ( Read more... )

I keep wondering that about my ability to do labs. Apparently it disappeared sometime after the AP Bio exam last year. Go figure.

What book is this?

"The God of Small Things" by Arundhati Roy. I don't understand why they make us read books that'll be forgotten in twenty years, and not authors like T.S. Eliot or something. Grah!

dear...uh, I hate to say this, but you are damn lucky to ever be able to write any paper in 1 hour; it's always taken me all night.

And English papers (mine, at least, I dunno about yours) are to good writing as the SAT is to intelligence: namely, completely unrelated.
