I LOVED THAT SERIES AS A KIDDDDD. Except my mum didn't like it and made me stop reading it. IT WAS THE MOST AWESOME THING THOUGH. I found all the books in .pdf format not too long ago and plan to read through them over the summer so I can in fact say I finished the series.

I don't know much there was for 'fandoms' back then. I was hardly using the internet at that point anyway. Sometimes I felt like I was the only person reading them. It's so cool to find out other wise ♥

OHMYGAWD YES, I READ THE HELL OUT OF ANIMORPHS~ 8D I remember borrowing the copies the library had over and over and over again. I have a .pdf somewhere too, on a memory stick someplace - I need to find it and finish themmmmm <3

My mum was extremely conservative growing up (she has mellowed out quite a bit now) and we couldn't have anything to do with stuff that wasn't 'Christan' or wholesome (she wouldn't let us have anything to do with Pokemon or Power Rangers either). I thought if I told my mum I wanted to read them, she wouldn't let me because of the premise, so I would sneak them from the library. When she found out, she was mad but let me read them anyway. I think I got about 15 books in or so, when my mum told me I couldn't read them anymore. To me, the books were gripping and fascinating, I would get annoyed every time my mum called me to go do something (which was often!). My mum got fed up and said the books were 'bad' and affecting me in a negative way and I couldn't read them anymore because the books were giving me a 'bad attitude'. When really I was just so engrossed I wanted to do nothing but read them! What really bugs me is her main point that the books has some evil power over me that was making me into...idk a bad kid? It's just silly (she

All of my friends back then thought Animorphs was nerdy as hell, so I always get excited when I find out people I know have also read Animorphs.

I don't even remember what my friends thought of Animorphs. XD Except I do recall one of my friends liking the fact that you could flip the pages and make whoever was in the corner morph. That was always pretty rad.
