TBH a lot of evangelical and fundamentalist groups are OPPOSED to the idea of seeking sources and questioning, because, y'know, then someone might question their source and suddenly The Bible (and My Interpretation Thereof) is no longer the final word. At which point, ANARCHY! CHAOS! CATS MARRYING GAY DOGS!

Because it is REALLY HARD for a lot of people to deal with a religion that requires ACTUAL faith- as opposed to gullibility- to believe.

Although I must admit, I want to say, "Screw you, Dawkins, God is a perfectly good explanation, just ALONGSIDE the scientific one!" But that is because I do not see a problem with treating science as a way to understand Creation, rather than an enemy to it.

SO YEAH.

Moral of the story is Jehovah's Witnesses are weird.
