ok so there is this one guy in my social inequality class, i like him and all, but he totally blind to the privilege he has as a male and as a person of the dominant race. i just don't understand how he cannot see that he is part of the dominant group and that it is really hard for him to be oppressed in any way because he is par tof the group

i totally agree with you about the 3 out of the 5 of us who had been victims of violence. something has to be done. but what?
i totally enjoyed our class tonight. i don't know about you, but i like having him there b/c he gives us a glimpse of what we're facing.
but about the violence thing. i didn't want to bring it up b/c i didn't want to self-disclose nor did i want anyone else to feel pressure to self-disclose, but it was something important we didn't talk about and probably should have. I an't wait until we have our night out at the bell tower. We need some women consciousness, group solidarity kind of stuff right now.

i didn't want to self-disclose either. although it has been on my mind a lot lately. i can't wait for the night at the bell tower either. i think that we all need to be there for each other because no one else will be there for us
