I did a few culls when I was in high school. I created a few piles:
books that I didn't enjoy -> to Vinnies
books that I liked and think others might -> to friends if they want them, or to Vinnies if not
books that I can't get rid of, but aren't likely to read anytime soon -> boxed in the garage
books that I adore -> on my shelf
When I moved down here, I brought very few books. I'm lucky that I could keep the rest of them in my old room at mum's. I brought some classics, a lot of books I hadn't read yet, and some precious ones (Anne Frank, Mockingbird, Harry Potter) with me... The rest stayed at mum's. To be honest, I haven't missed any yet, but that could be because I know where they are, and I know I don't have the space
( ... )
Thanks, when i moved up here i was the same and when i visit i grab the occasional one, I love Paul Zindel from highschool and they do great on a rainy afternoon:) but i think the genre/type/faves piles are the way to go.. i started with an Unread pile but that didn't help!!
I have found some crap too that noway i bought,i reckon mum or aunty left them when staying!
