Nice one Clem. Very informative. I learned a few things myself. Sarah and I are debating what we should do with regards to visa's. Currently I am on an F1 student, but that gives me no rights to work at all, so we were going to look into changing it to a Fiance Visa with work permit, so that we have money coming in. Thing is we're booked on a honeymoon to go to England the day after our wedding, and I dont think I can change my visa in time to be able to get back into the country on my return, so I may have to stick with what I've got, make my money stretch as far as it can, and then apply for Perminent status when I arrive back from Honeymoon (I should get back into the country on my F1 visa). I'm still in my course of study so my student visa is still valid, I just pay double what everyone else pays. Its unbeleivable just how much of a pain the process is, but then everything is worth it for us to be together.
Hope things work out OK for you Clem mate. Take Care
Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding - when is it? I didn't know you'd gotten that far!
It seems like you shouldn't have a problem just applying straight for your Green Card if you go back on an F1 still legitimately a student. You might get scrutinized more at your AoS interview than I did, but then I had it all to do before entering the country.
Woo Hoo! You're almost here! I'll be off from Friendship next week Sunday-Wednesday and then again Friday. I will work at Homefix most of those days, so I'll be in Gaithersburg with the ability to come and go from Homefix as I please. I will call K and see when I can come meet you. And I haven't seen her in a while either. Working these 2 jobs has had me mad occupied the last 2 weeks!
