I highly recommend if you are looking impartial news listen to NPR and watch PBS. Also sometimes to best check what is really going on in the US check internal news groups and see what they are saying bout the US. Its good to try and stay informed but I know your pain of just getting mad about it.
I don't mind CNN too much because I listen to a lot of conservative talk during the work day. Between the two I feel like I can figure out whats really going on in the world. What really gets me is Wolfs advertisement of neutrality because people who may only be able to sit down and watch half an hour of news may really feel as if that is an unbiased view. At least they have Cafferty and Dobbs to put Blitzer in his place (which they do..often!)

I felt a bit self absorbed writing it, but I've felt stretched so thin recently that I think a little absorption ( and hopefully cohesion) is what I need. I have a hard time walking that line between taking on so much that the quality of work I do begins to suffer, and doing too little and not being stimulated enough to be really productive.
Glad you still like the cow. It's vintage LJ for me. ^.^
Thanks Pinki! It was really nice, actually. It's my favorite time of year and I've been really frustrated with my inability to get outside and do stuff. Luckily, I spent almost no time inside this weekend and am feeling much better for it.
