So I came home this afternoon and it appears as though my water heater has self imploded. There is water EVERYWHERE. I called maintenance staff and there is only one maintenance guy on today, and he's in the middle of something else. I've unplugged everything and got everything I like up off the floor, but the water is spreading pretty quick

Oh crap! Make sure they dry the hell out of the floors first...ya don't want any mold settling in after you have your new carpet. Don't let them do a cheap clean-up! Been there. Done that.

Yea, they replaced the water heater and then left the blowers on for a few hours. They said they are going to wait until Tuesday to put new carpet down, and they'll pull up everything underneath.
