Superman wasn't as horrible as I anticipated, but it wasn't nearly as good as it could have been. Too Richard Donner-ish still, not the right kind of action. I've seen supes take on lex luthor in like...every other movie. Granted, Superman's rogues gallery isn't easily translated into film, but why could we not see a big robot like metallo, or ( Read more... )

agree, it was decent, but I liked that it was Richard Donner-ish, if by that you mean it was much more like Superman 1 & 2, which I think it was meant to be the sequel to ( ... )

Ahh, I was just hoping they would get away from some of the donner stuff, like geeky superman and campy lex. But it wasn't as bad as it was in the other movies.
To be honest, I haven't read much of the civil was series, just the beginning issues. I'm not sure that I like the idea of changing spider-man in all the ways that they have, but I guess that if the character doesn't grow and progress, people will stop reading. I'm more curious to see how the sweeping changes are affecting sales of the books.

It's almost like spider-man is a totally different character now, so him revealing his identity isn't such a big deal, though it will be cool to see the effect it has on character like JJJ.

yeah, it was a bit weird for me, since I havent read Spidey in such a long time. To find him working for Tony Stark, then having a new uniform bit by Tony, to have MJ and May living with him in an apartment that Tony is providing, to him unmasking and taking Tony's side on the Superhero registration Act, whoa, I was blown over ( ... )
