I broke my headphones! :(

I'm not even sure what I did, but all of a sudden SNAP. They were pretty oldschool, but pretty nice oldschool and they've worked for me for a long time.

Can anyone recommend headphones in the $30 range that don't suck and don't cause ear death? Does that exist?

These are higher than your $30 limit, but I assure you that they are worth every penny! I have turned a bunch of people onto these:

Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket

You can pick them up at Target for $50 or Amazon.com has some around $40

If the noise reduction isn't very good you have to turn up the volume to perceive the sound even a little. The dark truth is that you are actually blaring your ears causing EAR DEATH! It is part of Steve Job's Master Plan for World Domination.

I am presuming you are looking for the earmuffs rather than earbuds?

If Ear muffs (which is old school), logitech gaming headsets are usually pretty good if you are using them with a computer. If you are using them through a general jack and want to use them with other things, skip the Bose and get the Sony pair for about $20-$30 dollars. They are just a good.

Earbuds, it varies, but you have to look at precisely what they are compressing into headphones. I do not remember good ear bud brands off the top of my head, but if you need that, I'll walk into a store and get back to you.

If you have any other questions, let me know. I used to do this professionally. ;-)

Thanks!

How are the logitech with music on the computer? I prefer the muffs... but I probably should replace my mp3 player buds as well. Herm.

Thanks Ben!
