Woo-hoo. Just got off the phone with the bank - been APPROVED for the mortgage. So... that's it. Done deal. This nightmare* looks like it's coming to an end

Be aware - there will be a moment - usually within the first week of moving into your new place - that look at the pile of still-unopened boxes messy carpets and the space where the cooker you ordered last week but which still hasn't been delivered should fit - and you'll be overwhelmed by an *OHMIGODWHATHAVEWEDONE* sensation.

This sensation will pass. Trust me on this.

The first night is the best. You just lay there thinking..wow this is MY house!

Then you go punch a hole in the wall just to prove it :)
