Random Thoughts about Christmas Lights

I live surrounded by fairly wealthy houses.   Trust me when I say mine is not.

So-- thoughts on light displays-

1.  I hate pure white light on the trees you hire people to string

2.  Really, hate all white lights

3.  I hate small bulbs-- LOVE the big bulb houses

4.  If you must go one color-- make it NOT WHITE

Do you detect I hate all  most white

Really? There really aren't many lights on this block. I need to show you the "showcase TCU house" around the corner. They put lights up in the trees with cranes and always have a purple horned frog somewhere on the lawn.

I think I came across a little harsh. I love all lights, truly I do. I just get so much pleasure from seeing the little pockets of color these days. (ashamed to admit I was trying to figure out how to type "now-a-days").

I think many baby boomers reacted to our "big bulb" childhoods by going to tiny white lights.

Anyway-- they are all pretty.

I wish I could take you on a tour near my old apartment back home. Dueling neighbors, in a working class neighborhood, with no zoning restrictions . . . leave to cook . . . add snow . . . DISCO MANGER!
