The really good news are about my mother’s health. She has the first part of the chemo done now and they made a new CT scan at the beginning of the week. The prognose was that the tumor is very aggressive and that, IF we are lucky it will not expand anymore. Now we have the results of the scan and the damn thing shrank approx. 1cm. So we will not

My dad and my stepfather are cancer survivors, so I'm very glad to hear your mother is doing better. That is really good news. I know how horrible chemo can be, so I wish her all the luck and ease in the world, honey. I hope you and your sister are okay, punkin. *big hugs*

Oh, I did not know that - or did I? I am not sure, now as I am thinking about it. It seems that so many people have to deal with this disease these days. Thank you very much, dear! We are all doing pretty fine at the moment (beside work - I cannot get myself motivated).

Yes, much money you have to spend with computers, right? I wanted to wait longer too but obviously I cannot anymore. I will check some laptops out this week. I will have to make sure not to be impatient and buy the first one I see. High risk *laughs*

Yes, get all of your stuff copied over to an external drive - I have two myself *laughs* and I also have a bunch of files copied over to two other laptops in the house. Good luck with getting a new laptop! No doubt you truly do need it.

My new internet connection does not like LJ, so I am having a lot of trouble signing in here - thus my late reply! But I was glad to read your update!!

Never worry about late comments (or not commenting at all) - I know that things are difficult for you at the moment with the whole living and internet situation *hugs*

You can probably imagine that we are all very positive (even more than before) about it. Especially my mum got another "motivation push" with these results and I assume that was very important.

I did all the work over the weekend and have everything on an external drive. Some files I kept on my laptop too. Just to be safe. So, I will go and check the new ones other during the week I think. Pity will be that I will lose Photoshop as this old CS2 version is not working with Windows 8. My colleague in the IT department offered help with finding a new free version. Hopefully this will work out. Otherwise I will have to keep the old laptop for graphics *laughs*
