How annoying...

I really hate when something like this happens: Me, the dawdler of writing alone, finally sat down and started to write tonight. I have a storyline in mind and everything that I need: a dark room with my laptop, a snoring dog down at my feet, fitting music and a drink. I start to write and it goes pretty well and I am not bored after five minutes ( Read more... )

Bleh yes I know that feeling all too well. Push through as best you can although I know that trying to pull out creativity when you can't isn't good either.

I trust that you will get to that place again, though. I have faith in you. *hugs*

I did not even try. I decided to close the file and try it again when the annoying feeling is gone. It was probably no bad thing anyway as I thought about my chosing of words again and I am not happy with them. So a new start it will be.

I absolutely love your description of your best situation for writing, complete with doggie! I have been out of the flow for writing for some seven years. I have stopped trying. It's a loss.

Hi there, good to see you, dear.
I think the longer you are out of the writing flow the harder it is to return. At least I have that feeling. So I hope to see a light at the end of the tunnel as soon as I have written one or two pieces. But like you, I would stop trying if it is no fun thing anymore as I am not making any money with writing. It would be a waste of time then.

I hope you are doing well?

Oh gosh I hate that happened to you, dear. I know the feeling all too well though as that used to happen to me a lot! And yes, Tolkien was very thorough and most certainly named that lake! Ha! You will get back into it. I have no doubt!

Much love!!

The muse is a very fragile thing, isn't it? I started a new story which goes pretty well so I will just finish this one instead. But I had to learn that it is most difficult to get back into a smooth writing flow after that time. It is work!
