After quite busy weeks I finally started my holidays last week, Monday. I stayed at home but made a few holiday rules:

* no computer at all, not even for fun stuff
* no mobile as far as possible
* at least one long walk per day
* eating a lot
* drinking even more than a lot
* sleep, sleep, SLEEP

And gosh, these were great days! I feel like my ( Read more... )

WEEE hi doll! Glad to see you! Your break sounds amazing and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. What a great idea for rules you had. :) I went down to close to the gulf today with my mom (she and her husband are almost done with building their house and we had to visit the landscapers she's contracted with) and I bought a new plant and a pot and I sat outside and potted my new plants and then walked to dinner. It was awesome. I love outdoors too. How's your weather? How's Amadeus?

I love my laptop too, but it's five years old and I will have to replace it next year. I currently have a MacBook, but I don't know if I can afford another one. We'll see. Good luck with yours.

I'm going on my vacation on June 16th - first country is England. Can't wait. Any place you suggest not missing in Rome or Paris?

*smooch* glad to see you, punkin.

xxoo

Hi there! I am addiccted to lists, so the rules list worked pretty well for me and it was probably the most effective way to enjoy my holidays at home. I was lucky with the weather as well. As we had almost no winter here this year it does not feel like April but like end of May already. I absolutely understand that you love to be outdoor! And I read about your five (?) living plants - good girl ( ... )

I like lists myself, especially at work. They keep me from being more nuts! I am glad you enjoyed your holiday. I have six living plants now! LOL So far so good. We'll see how they do when it gets up to 105F in July/August/September ( ... )

Very good rules, though I really would have difficulties with that no computer and mobile rule. Though I bet it would be good to take a complete break one in a while! Seems like it works and great that you have your power back fully loaded :D

I hear you with your buy a new laptop trouble. My netbook was still running on XP and since that ran out, it looks like I have to get a new one soon. And yes, it's all Windows 8 *sighs*

Surprisingly it was easier than I expeted it to be without net and mobile. I think it is the only way you can take a proper break.

I know so many people who are annoyed with Windows 8 and try to avoid that. I am on XP too and personally I was pretty happy with it.

Take care
Charlie.

I am late to comment! But gosh I am glad to hear from you and glad you finally had some time off from work!! Lists are good - I live by them! The older I get, the harder it is to remember things so I write everything down! *laughs* It really helps me with my work to write out daily lists too and I have a production schedule as well with my business ( ... )

Lists are very helpful indeed. And I agree: the older I get, the harder it is to remember things. Lists make life less stressful.

I will wait as long as possible with the laptop, hoping that they will offer something else too in the shops as many people do not want Windows 8. If not I will have to take it anyway as I am on XP and this will run out by the end of the year. Annoying such things, right? I will happily come back to you regarding the download links. Thank you, Honey Pie! And eBay is a good advice - I always forget that it exists *laughs*

I have seen your up-date but have to read it later when I have proper time for it. I assume you cannot wait to move in the house, right?

Hug was delivered and taken happily!

Love,
Charlie.
