Sigh.

I'm fed up with this J-spam. If you've had any recently could you go comment on this support request IPs and idea's especially welcome.

If you don't know what I'm talking about by 125.14.xxx.xxx, 125.15.xxx.xxx or Lewis then casadetodd has a good explanation.

I'm not sure there is a good solution to this, except to screen anonymous comments - or at least put a captcha on it, both of which are already options on the setting page.

IP blocking is notoriously unhelpful in these situations - spammers just switch IP addresses, and normal users behind the same proxies get shafted.

The IP blocking did work for a while.

One obvious solution is to allow individual users to ban IP ranges from anonymous comments.

It's just bizare that I get this one stream of Dadaist comment spam, and nothing else.

I had my anon comments screened with catcha and they continued to come.
