A quarter of a million lost power, but not us! The refinery lost power, and we'll spend the next couple days trying to get everything up a running. You can't rush all that crude oil when bringing things back up. There were trees down all over the place on the road, but no flooding. But now Dennis is coming. Should I get out of town? I must make two comments here. First, I was reading a previous entry about you having doubts about who you are physically. Cristina, I am saying this as someone who has known you a couple of years now: you are so beautiful. I don't just mean physically attractive either. Your heart is so warm and loving. Your mom is right. You need to watch out for Cristina. She is more important than anything else. If she is not healthy and happy, no part of your life can be. Take time for yourself. I know you deserve it.

Secondly: I don't know that you should necessarily leave town, but do make sure you have a safe place to go to in the event that Dennis hits your part of town.

Love you!

My dear Katelyn,
I can't tell you how much your love means to me. I think a lot of the reason I ended up like this is by focusing on things that don't matter. Hearing from you that you care that much about me helps me realize I don't have to face this alone. You're letting me know that even when I gain weight, life will be as sweet as ever :) As for Dennis, I got my non-perishables, water, flashlight, and radio. There is a voluntary evacuation, but I'm staying put. Most of the locals are; I'm just following suit. I also have the phone numbers of some co-workers. Thank you for being such a bright light in my life!

Love,
Cristina
