Why do I have faith? Why do I go on believing in something despite bad things that happen in my life and around the world? Why is it that I can look at someone like you and be baffled as to why she doesn't consider herself worthy? Why can I read your entry and have a part of my heart die because you are struggling to believe yourself a good person? I will tell you why. The answer is the title of your entry: God. God is love. Love is God. This God we pray to knows no such concept of hate or unworthiness. The only thing God knows is love. God loves you. God loves me. There is an old saying from the Bible: "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone." Please don't put yourself down when I know that you are not the horrible person you think you are. You'll get there. I know you will be ok. It's not going to be easy and it will take time and effort on your part for you to feel ok with yourself. When it happens though, don't be afraid of it. Don't be afraid to give yourself credit for who you are, what you've become
