It’s dark and quiet in the room, despite the crisp white walls and the beeping of the monitors beside Laurie’s bed. Dan paces slowly, periodically looking up at his sleeping wife, the beautiful glow in her tired but peaceful features, then down at the little one bundled up in his arms, with so much hair and pale blue eyes. Ooh. Just...ouch. Entirely how it would play out-- and, no doubt, Adrian's first inkling that you really, really don't want to put Dan into a corner again.
