It's sad that the best thing we can say is "Well, we survived Andrew Jackson," but - at least we did survive Andrew Jackson.

I should point out by the way that when I say "we," I mean "the United States," not the people that the respective presidents actually promised to kill in their campaign.

Exactly. But still - good chance there will still be a United States of America in 4 or 8 years. But Andrew Jackson couldn't actually end life on earth, even if he tried, so I guess we'll see.
