Okay, everyone .. here is the 'pre-intro' entry to my Habit challenge. I have a few questions to ask before I get this started. I know I said I'd make the post Sunday but I got way caught up in my studies and didn't get a chance. For those who want to participate please answer these following questions.

Yay! I am so totally in! This is exactly what I need and I can totally relate to what you said. The best day for me to check livejournal and check-in would definitely be on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, but I suppose anyday would be okay, I just have way more free time on Friday and the weekend. Forty-two days sounds great, I really want to be held accountable and start to make some changes. I have been trying to break certain habits for years and like you I am getting so tired of accepting this from myself and really want to be dedicated, and I think doing this w/ support from others may make all the difference! Count me in!! :-)

Friday would be a great day for me to start this too! I do not have computer access on Sunday or Mondays. And most of the time I am so busy on Satudays I wouldnt be able to then either.
42 days sound great!

Question:
Do our habit goals have to be something that we do daily like drink 64 ounces of water, or can they be more general like... Go to the gym every tuesday and thursday?

I know I want the water to be a goal of mine, but I have been wanting to start exercising in the morning a few days a week. Alone I cant force myself to do it, but with motivation from others and knowing that I am being held accountable I think I could do it!

I cant wait to get started! Jess

I've thought about that too - I knew that most likely if we were doing a workout plan we'd need a day or two off to be safe. What I was thinking .. was that for the days we plan to not work out - our "habit" will be maintaining being healthy and staying on plan. Say like.. I usually don't work out on weekends, but I also usually don't eat healthy, kinda pig out, and don't drink water. So I guess the habit would be keeping your planned days. Does that make sense?

Thats the way I kind've figured it would work in my head. Or maybe the "work out" for those days could just be doing some kind of light physical activity.. like cleaning, going out with friends, taking a short walk.

Its really up to you :) I'm probably going to see if I can work out each day - and if I take days off I think I'll either do some light weight lifting or clean/walk/stretch. Sort've to keep in that "active" mode.
