Yay! I'm really excited for this challenge, thank you so much for getting it all together! I have three habits to make/break for the first part of the challenge. I want to drink 4 bottles of water/day. I want to exercise everyday. I want to not buy binge food. Should I pick one of these for the first part of the challenge or can we have 3 habits to break (I have a lot of habits I want to make/break in addition to these but I really want to make these lifestyle changes primary goals right now I think). Please let me know if others will only be having one challenge habit and if I should just pick one of them to start off this challenge! Thanks!!
I feel teh same way as you, I want to start getting my drinking water back in gear, exercise every day, and continue eating healthy.
I have done it before so I know its possible - it's just it is hard. And a lot of people think it can be overwhelming and cause you to break down and give up.
But if you want to do it, I will be too. Hell, I want to start waking up at a normal time, going to bed earlier, start doing my homework earlier, start doing art.. theres a lot of things!
Thats why I said before that my habit will be sort of.. a habit of 'keeping a schedule'. Maybe you can consider yours the same. Plan a time to get your water, to work out, etc.
Just don't give up if it doesnt work :) In a week or two if its not working and you're struggling then you can always alter your list a bit.
But I think we can do it! I'll do it as well :) Determination!
okay, great! I am going to try and stick to those three changes for the first part of this challenge and then add things like sleep schedule etc. We will do this!!
You just signed up :) I'll add you back to my friends list asap, then just write in your journal daily how you're doing with your habits. Check in with us on Fridays :)
I too am taking only online classes this semester and feel the same way as you ;p seems like we have a lot in common. I just started this "challenge" because some of the other ljers on my friends list and myself have had trouble staying on track for long and staying motivated.. so this is completely for motivation and to stick with it!
The singing sounds great too! I'm glad you're finding other things to work with while dealing with health issues, it never hurts to start now instead of waiting. My sister is 28 (turning 29 in a month or two) and just started taking voice lessons late last year.. so it definitely is never too late.. she loves it :)
oh cool! :) yea.. I've been having trouble sticking to my exercise goals. I get really motivated, then I crash and do nothing. I will definitely be writing about how I'm doing on my goals
( ... )
I understand how you feel about weight affecting your career. My dream is to own my own business and I feel the same way.. and there really isnt any kind of weight restrictions on that (hell if your business is good, its good right?!) but I feel that I'd get more respect, have more abilities, and be more confident if I lost weight.. so I can kind've understand where you're coming from.
I am stoked about this challenge :) I am sure all of us will become great friends as we support each other in this challenge.
My habits to create:
* Drink 100 oz of water daily * Morning gym 3 days a week (Couch to 5k training) * One night to myself (per week) doing something for myself (atleast 1 hour)
I would like to join the challenge. Can I? I have a few habits I want to pick up on and ones I want to drop too. I believe this would be a good opportunity to do so. The main two are getting more involved in things I become apart of and exercising more often.

Your habits sound like great ones, especially the one night to yourself.. I should think of doing that as well :P
