Went to the doctor today as I keep annoying/hitting Stephani in my sleep by moving around too much. He presented me with two options. Either I'm having epileptic fits in my sleep (treatable) or I'm acting out my dreams (untreatable) so I've been referred to a neurologist where I'll probably have a polysomnogramA little part of me hopes I have ( Read more... )

nocturnal myoclonus (aka PLMD) is more likely than either of those i reckon! Sadly this is untreatable too, although is thought to be to do with calcium or something, i heard on TV. But don't let them drug you for that because that would be totally ridiculous.

In fact it's probably not nocturnal myoclonus because it's not really pathological in the true sense! It's probably just caused by the same thing as nocturnal myoclonus but without the pathology. y/n

maybe that's what he meant by "acting out" my dreams. idk. These GPs are crap. I think he might have disregarded it as stephani is unable to wake me from the "fits" and when does, I'm vacant. Let's see how it goes at the neurologist.
