Big Sur

On the spur of the moment, we decided to spend the weekend in Big Sur.

Bobcat! Anya saw him first, and we just kind of hung back. He checked us out for a while, and eventually went on his way.

Big sur was very pretty the one time I went.

Well, he seems to have the head shape for a venomous snake. Smart move to stay back until he went away.

(My brother had a small obsession with snakes and reptiles for a while. I learned which common Florida snakes were safe, but also learned there are a ton of similarly colored snakes that make it hard to tell what can kill you and what can't.)
