Darling hat!!

I can totally sympathize with the lack of long hair-friendly hats thing. I struggle with that every time I try to wear one. It's irritating to have so much hair clinging to your neck when it's so warm out. If it's hot enough to need a hat, it's too hot to wear your hair down.

Yeah, that's exactly my problem. If it's hot enough to wear a hat, then it's hot enough to want to wear my hair up. But no hats are made for that, except for hats don't have an actual brim!

Unless you wear period hats, like Regency bonnets or wide-brimmed hats with shallow crowns. I keep thinking of trying that sometime, I'm just rather afraid of looking like a freak, LOL.

I actually told that to the ladies in the hat shop, how I wish they sold Regency era hats! They would be PERFECT for my hair. I've seen some for sale online that are amazing, but they're expensive and I wouldn't want to buy one without being able to actually try it on first.

Woohoo, I'm glad that you got it! Looks cute.

I saw the Canada Day fireworks a few years ago when we went up to Victoria with Pauline (the French exchange student who was staying with us.) We actually forgot that it *was* Canada Day and were surprised when the fireworks started. ;)
