Now that I've done my boxing day shopping - I came home with disheveled hair (from being pushed by the crowds) and angsty (because I'm officially broke) - I can finally write this:
I'd like to say: wweeeeeeeeeeee!!
Yuletide has been awesome.
Seriously.
I received two full length Petshop of Horrors stories and they were both awesome.

But I love the mangaka. Her use of mythology and legends is so intriguing and entertaining. I have an artbook of hers and two other series she has written. Her series Genju No Seiza is something I totally recommend. Count D even makes a cameo in one of the acts. :)

Isn't the manga beautiful? I have three volumes (I need to buy the rest).
I've read a little of the sequel, it's awesome as well :)
Cameo appearances by D? :) I'm going to look up her other mangas.
The drawings are beautiful and I love the use of mythology and legends too. Not to mention the lovable characters &hearts

The two stories are awesome. I requested happy/bittersweet endings ... and I got just that :D
Yuletide is great.
Everything is still anonymous at the moment, so I can't dedicate any sonnets to my writers XD
I will poke you to do it next year!

You will not be able to resist my poking when the time comes!
I like the idea there's a fic exchange specifically for small/rare fandoms. Most people give a clear idea of what they want (the 'Dear Yuletide writer' letters).
And there's a community (and apparently, a chat room too) where people can stress out or have their 'omg my recipient will hate me' moments. Read about other people stressing out reduces my own stress XD
YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.

Here's the Wiki link
Count D is the owner of a petshop that sells all types of animals to its patrons - usually to teach them a lesson. Many of his patrons end up dead.
Detective Leon Orcot realises that all these mysterious deaths are linked to D's petshop and starts stalking investigating him. They become not quite friends, but end up spending a lot of time drinking tea together, babysitting together and having picnics XD
The manga uses mythology and legends and the artwork is beautiful :)

I've got a link to the Petshop of Horrors manga online somewhere in the post. There's actually a sequel now (I only found out recently).
