A few months ago, in a Salvation Army in downtown New Haven, I got a Polaroid Automatic 103 Land Camera, complete with case and flash (and flash bulbs!) for 8 bucks. And it works. I just started taking pictures with it. I'm no photographer, which I think might help. If you can find one--they got for fairly cheap on eBay--you should get one. They're fun. The only problem is finding batteries.

i have a polaroid automatic 100 land camera with case and flash bulbs and everything too. (we probably have the same exact camera) anyways, i have been too lazy to actually figure out how it works since i have 2 polaroid cameras that take the 600 film already. where did you find the batteries and film for it?

I got the film from a photo shop in town and the batteries came from photobattery.com. The batteries are about 15 bucks a piece. Does your Polaroid take color and b&w?

yeah it takes color & b&w. i think i will invest in the batteries and film, after playing around with it a little i actually want to use it now! and did you ever get that 8mm film recorder?

OH MAN, i agree completely with the microphones song, but i didn't even want to get into the microphones cause that deserves its own list in itself. like in ocean 1,2,3 when the xylophone part comes on. SO GOOD.

have you heard the song Chan Marshall does with Handsome Boy Modelling School? it's really bizarre but also lovely to hear her drawl on top of loungy hip-hop beats. also, I knew this girl in Thailand from Atlanta who was close friends with Chan's sister! and apparently, that whole family is bonkers.
