Ph.D. updates and stuff
My comprehensive exams, originally scheduled for November 30, December 1 and 2 are now going to be February 1-3. Well, they're definitely pushed back. I haven't been able to confirm the new dates with the graduate adviser, but I haven't heard of any reason why they WOULDN'T be those dates. Mizzou's football team
So Mizzou's football team is doing shockingly well this fall. Last week's game was apparently pretty exciting. At halftime it was 21-0 Mizzou. Final score was 36-28 so the second half was nerve-wracking for those who care about such things. Granddad...KU tried, and given more time I think they would've overtaken Mizzou. Oprah
Man, I'd hate to be in Oprah's audience on the wrong day. Yesterday, everybody got a car (dramatization). Today everyone gets a Christmas music CD by Josh Groban and a cupcake. I'd be like, man, I should've been here yesterday!
I wonder if there are statistics out there where people try to predict the likelihood of Oprah's gifts being jaw- -
time to freak out
I am scheduled to take my comprehensive exams November 30, December 1, and 2. Studying is not going well, but at least I now have sample questions to look at. There is one week of classes between when I comp and finals. Sometime during that week I need my committee to "grade" my answers and I need to defend.
