Midsummer was nice. My parents came on Friday and we went to J's parents. My aunt's family and J's brother & girlfriend were there too and the weather was lovely all day :) . Took the gown to Tampere on Saturday, visited friends for a coffee and drove with two other friends to the summer cottage. And the weather was surprisingly warm all weekend, and it still is :) . We definitely need a summer cottage or something if I'm going to work as a teacher and have a 2.5 months holiday every year... Or then find a new hobby! I visited the school I'm going to work in by bike this morning. The principal showed me some places and the school is real nice, built in 2001. They just need to do some renovations there because of mistakes made during the building of the house...! Crazy. I also found out the books they are using and the other German book is just horrible. I got the job!!! So it's teaching, of course and as a substitute (of course, hey, I'm JUST graduated) but for the whole next year, which is great. And I even get paid for the summer holiday (until July 31st 2006) like all real teachers do so I'm quite content. The school is about 5 km from where we live and I'll be teaching the smaller pupils again ( Read more... )

I'm a Master of Arts since Wednesday May 25th and already I was called in for a job interview... I'm not hoping too much since I've got a bad feeling they'll take someone more experienced than me, but we'll see. I would like the job though and it would definitely be something where I'm good at. After next week I'll surely know more, whatever it is.

So glad I never have to teach these people English :) ...
