I PASSED MY PIANO EXAM.
Bad mark (only got a 70), but whatever. I PASSED. XDDD waaaaaahh.
I seriously thought I failed it (ahaha, I almost did...), because my scales were horrifyingly awful, and I think I got all my intervals wrong, haha. I always botch my sight reading and ear tests. :P Was hoping that my pieces (the only good part!) would be enough to pull it up, and it looks to be so. :D
So I don't have to pay that ~$120 fee again! :DDDD (this is what I'm actually happiest about.)
Next grade's almost $200. What a jump. And ARCT exam fees are just crazy. T___T
Wait, I should find out how these fees are calculated. Maybe I have to pay ~$400 next grade to include technical requirements, ear tests and sight reading? O_O *looking at the website* How does this work?
I'm slightly hesitant about going somewhere other than the University of Calgary next year...what'll happen to my piano? :| It'd be a shame to put it down now, but switching teachers just doesn't sound very swell. Plus I don't know how time management'll go.
But I'll probably end up spending two years on Grade 10. That's what the Royal Conservatory recommends, or something. They said so for Grade 9 too, but I spent less than a year working on it. *sweats* Why did my teacher even bother telling me to sign up for the August exam in the first place, when I was so unprepared...
Ehhh, this can all wait.
For my Gr. 9 exam, I had picked "The Heart Asks For Pleasure" (from The Piano) to replace one of my studies. Just found out that my teacher found the song incredibly boring, and couldn't understand why I picked it. >_>;;;
...*I* like the song... T___T
Oops, it's already 11:40. Better shower and finish studying. XD
edit: my mother use to watch Dragonball. Yeah, you know, that cartoon.
This...just doesn't seem right for some reason...n_n
Then again, my father watched Detective Conan. And Yatta. And CB3. Wellll.
