my glasses broke a few days ago (snapped right in half! ohhh I'm good). I've been wearing an old pair since then, 'cause it's better than not being able to see anything but big blurry shapes. But because the prescription is quite off, it gives me a hell of a headache when I attempt reading. Unless they're huge letters on the side of a truck.

You snapped them RIGHT where the two lenses are joined together? O_O Mine usually lose a screw at the hinges, or break at the hinges. I've snapped one pair in half before and got it welded back, but it looks ugly and burnt.

I need new glasses too...Contacts seem horribly inconvenient.

yeah, the bridge! I snapped it right where the bridge connects to the right lense frame. (I have no idea how.)
I broke the pair before that by snapping the right lense frame. XD

Ahh, I wish it was just losing a screw. That's easy enough to fix. Never had my glasses break at the hinges, though.

I'd like to try out contacts 'cause all these years of wearing glasses is doing bad things to the blood vessels on the bridge of my nose. T_T But I like sleeping on the bus/during class (haha), sooo that's probably a bad idea.
That, and my vision's really bad. So I'm not sure what kind of contacts I can get. XDD

Argh! I know how that feels! At least you have an old pair to use :D

I remember when my first pair of glasses broke. First it snapped at the right hinge, then the left hinge and then it snapped in half! Since it was my first pair, I didn't have a replacement, so I went without glasses for 2 weeks while waiting for my new glasses to come in -_-

I hope they come in soon!
