I guess you can call me a Scrooge, but I absolutely despise Valentine's Day. Why, you might ask, does a day that represents love piss me off to no end? May I join you in the quiet, not red room of Valentines haters?

Things that have happened to me on Valentines Day:

-buried my father
-Judge signed my first divorce (family court should be closed on this day)
-broke up with a fiance due to being sick and tired of being treated like a whore
-Lost my best friend to a drunk driver
-today am heading to court sueing my (second)ex for sole custody of my 7yo (he was just released from jail on a domestic violence charge that he plead guilty to)

Valentines day is just another day to make me feel more alone. I too watch others receive gifts while I get nothing.

It's nice to see I'm not the only one out there who hates the celebration on the execution of a saint who married people against the will of the church.
