Ever feel underappreciated?

It's so fucking frustrating. I try so hard with some people and they don't even really seem to notice. I can be one of the most giving friends for them and in the end I'm just a shadow of a person to them. I hate to feel like I mean next to nothing to them when for some reason they're one of the people I most want to acknowledge me and appreciate
