Gapa was grading 2nd year essays on red caps when she heard a loud "thump" somewhere down the hallway. What the... She put her quill down and stepped out of her office, glancing around.
Her breath stopped when she saw Cedric Diggory sprawled on the ground, a look of utter panic on his face.
"I...I..."
She forced a normal smile. "Would you like to come into my office?"
Her office? Cedric's breath caught in his throat as his thoughts turned to the dream he had experienced just a few moments before. All of his dreams - ALL of them - had started with an invitation to her office.
Calm down, Ced, she's probably just giving you a detention for being out after hours.
Still, his heart refused to stop pounding in anticipation, even more so as the teacher gave him a sly smile and held her office door open before him.
Gapa moved towards her desk wuickly, pushing papers off to one side and searching for the key to her firewhiskey drawer. She snagged it, unlocked the drawer quickly, and pulled two bottles from the top of her pile of "intriguing substances."
Standing nervously by a glass container of doxies, Cedric's eyes widened.
She waved him towards one of the chairs and held out a bottle. "No, I'm not giving you a detention. I'm offering you a drink. Do you like firewhiskey?"
Cedric stammered a bit before answering, "No, I mean, well, yes...erm..."
The professor interrupted him to save his embarrassment, "You're of age, Cedric. Don't tell me you've never had a drink or two in your life."
Is she really offering me alcohol? Oh God what do I do...alcohol is illegal on school campus, isn't it? I think it is...or is that...
Eh, screw it.
"Well, yes, I mean...sure, I like firewhiskey fine." By the time he answered, she had already poured two generous glasses and was holding one out for him, sitting on the edge of her desk. "Come, Cedric, sit. Don't be shy."
