I love dates. Love 'em!

There 3 main types ya know... Soft, semi-dry, and dry. I myself find the semi-dry Deglet Noor to be the best, but this is just my own personal taste.

Dates are naturally wind pollinated. Natural pollination requires about an equal number of male and female plants. However, with assistance one male can pollenize up to 50 female plants!

Date farmers in Iraq lost their 2003 crop due to the nation being at war during pollination time. (Bet you DIDN'T know that!)

Anyway... I hope you enjoy your date next year no matter what type he might be. (Soft, semi-dry, and dry!) <---- Uhm... that last part sort of came out wrong. I DID NOT mean it they way that it sounds! Really really truely!

The printer did become open and I am now all DONE! wOO!

I go home tomorrow. Or later today. It's harder to tell because I haven't been sleeping and I am still a little bit drunk.

Yes. I am odd. And I lied to you. I am truely sorry! I really can't stand dates. (the fruit sort of dates...)

For some reason the thought of a date in January brought to mind someone trapped in a snow bank munching away at a date without a care in the world!~

It was fun looking all that up about dates though... *grin*
