Hey there! mofic passed on a link to your journal. I'm not a blogger, but I have an account here because there's one friend for whom this is the only way to know what's going on in her life :)
I'm with you on this issue. It's unbelievable that a photo of a nursing baby could be considered indecent. It's funny - I sold my pump back to my old LC recently and she had some of the "Attachments" photos on her wall. There was one with Joylyn and I think one was Lori's daughter.
Oh, and imagine my surprise to see my name in the quote on your user info page (from breastfeedingisnormal). I knew that quote had made it's way around, but it always surprises me to come across it again.
Believe it or not, that photo of Lori's daughter Michelle with baby doll Chloe has been the subject of much friction in hospital nurseries and LC's offices around the country! Apparently, some misguided souls see it as sexualizing a child... WTF? Those are, of course, people who still think breasts are only for sexual play and who have forgotten why we have breasts in the first place! :-/ It's really disheartening sometimes.
WRT your quote: I wanted to put up a banner to support the breastfeedingisnormal.org site, and, when I saw that one with your name on it, I knew that was the one for me! :-)
We're all well... I hope you and yours are, too. Feel free to "friend" me!
