Robotic vacuum cleaners

So I'm sold on the Roomba already, though I'm still trying to figure out which one to get. (I wish for Steve Jobsian product simplicity everywhere sometimes.) What about the sudsy Scooba, though? Have any of you ever used one? The net seems more mixed on the Scooba than on the Roomba

Dog obnoxiousness. You have of course seen the kitty on the Roomba video? And "Roomba Theater" in Achewood? Contessa would of course regally ignore it.

All Roombas get stepped on and then parked in a closet. They have special batteries worth tens of dollars on the black market Ebay and everyone says, "someday I'll sell the battery".
