Comment to this post and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.
From Ben:
cricket - The sport? I know absolutely nothing about it. I think I've tried to watch it twice and was completely and utterly confused by it. The bug? I think they are okay - as long as they aren't in my house even if they're supposed to be lucky or whatever. We get spider crickets in our basement sometimes and those things jump so freaking high, scaring the shit out of me every time.
teeth - I hate my teeth. Hate them. Always have and probably always will. I never had good dental care so they are not in the best of shape. It's one of the things on my list to have fixed when/if I ever have the money.
animal crackers - in my soup! I love animal crackers but they are one of the snacks I never had a lot of as a child. When I did, I was totally the kid who bit the head off one and put it on the body of another. Also, heads HAD to be eaten first.
pi(e) - mmm. Pie. One of my math teachers actually did bring pie to class for Pi Day. It was awesome. The math of it, I couldn't really care about back then because I was (and am still) a fat kid who just wanted pie. Now, we still "celebrate" the day in my house with buying tastykake (Philly thing) pie to have with lunch or dinner. My favorite types are pumpkin and apple and the orchard near my house makes the best pie ever but sadly, we only have that on Thanksgiving.
hair dye - I used to dye my hair all the time. When I was 16, I went red for the first time. I think I've done red three or four times since then but my hair grows so fast that upkeep is a total bitch. Blonde highlights were also something I did a lot of. Both were ALWAYS done at a salon; I've never used box dye. However, I also haven't dyed my hair in two years and being back to my natural color is kinda getting boring. I really want to go purple but I don't think I have the guts to.
hamburgers - Not a huge fan. I'll have a burger occasionally but I prefer chicken. I have only ever had ONE from McDonalds and 1 from Five Guys. Every other one has been homemade. When I do have a burger, the only things I put on it are lettuce, ketchup and pickles.
lawyers - Lawyers have always been a part of my life. My dad is a lawyer and when we were little, he used to bring us to his office on weekends when he needed to do work and we were driving my mom nuts. This was one of the few times we actually got to see him growing up. I think the fact that he wasn't around that much is one of the major factors in my having absolutely NO interest in ever becoming a lawyer. Working in a law firm for nearly five years (in the recruiting department) solidified that. Lawyers work hard, man. Too hard at times.
