I don't have a whole lot going on at this point that wouldn't bore everyone to sleep, but I do have a few things that absolutely bugged the heck out of me today. First, and most importantly in my mind, why in God's name do people get on elevators in order to go up ONE floor? The windy city doesn't have seasons. It has hot as hell and hell frozen over. The only upside is that you'll be able to get real Chicago deep-dish pizza while you're there. That, I'm a bit jealous of. I hear other deep-dish pizzas are as incomparable to Chicago pizza as regular pizzas are to New York pizza. So that's saying something. Try some and tell me about it, would you?

I, too, have heard of the mythic deep dish Chicago pizza. I'll make sure to find some "authentic" deep dish and document the experience. I've had genuine NY Pizza, so hopefully some useful comparisons will be drawn :-)

Why don't they ever have these conferences in Kansas City? Goodness, had I known I would have met you up there!

I suppose if they have MS or other fatiguing disorder they wouldn't take the stairs...

Hey, offer's open to join me if you can find a last minute airfare.

And actually, I am planning on being in Kansas proper over the summer. Ben's playing ball out there for the summer and I also need to go visit The Land Institute in Salina (about 2 1/2 hours outside KC) for my research. So there!

Well, I won't be making it up to Chicago, but you'd better plan on seeing me in the summer!
